I want to visit Glenn's house and find his secret vault of Cat Planet Cuties. Graham would have been much better off painting his arm lumps with outlines, go for an Akira-style body horror thing. George should have kept his face a flat sculpt with highlights, all the extra lines made it look like an old age design when it could have been a killer robot. Someone with gif making abilities should capture the scene where Graham blew dust off his mask and it blew back into his face... not sure if it was the fact that I was overtired when I saw it but I couldn't stop laughing. I'm also bored with this season, this last episode was horrible.

I thought the one with the glasses was kind of cool, only because when the model smiled it looked better than some of the others. There was a Korean chick from Seattle in Anthony's season that did a pretty good anime makeup once. It was a male model as a female character, and the giant anime eyes were painted on, so the model had to close his eyes the entire time, but it looked good, and I think may even have won that week.

I called that they'd use the immunity as I saw them present their makeups. This kind of challenge is in none of their wheelhouses...though I'm not sure real-life prosthetic anime characters are in anyone's for that matter.

Terrible episode, terrible creations. At least Tyler managed to do "cartoon" without being totally horrifying. Gonna need a gif of Graham blowing cement dust into his own face and then coughing and sitting down. That was the highlight of the episode.

Tyler's was the least wonky cartoon character (the gallery of the entries is here) but if you'd shown me those photos without any context I wouldn't have picked that it was supposed to be anime. It looks more like a webcomic character. Niko and Rashaad tried to do anime characters without gigantic eyes and they looked okay from a distance but up close they've both got some weird anatomy in their faces.

I hate animegao and think it's the stuff of nightmares, so why did both girls (and some of the boys) think it was a good idea? Daran actually hit fairly close to some of the more surreal and symbolic stuff out there (Paprika and Mononoke come to mind) and I thought his makeup was clearly the best of the lot.
