No I just ask that most of the panels don't take place in a weird foggy room.

I'm delighted that Darkseid has now become a badass who is whupping superheroes across the multiverse. 10 years ago he was a bit of joke, almost a jobber to Superman. A lot of those tales seemed to treat him like he was a petty schoolyard bully.

He was never a joke, at least as I recall. If he was a joke, he'd have been deposed in some 'Big Event'. He never was, despite all the force Earth had to offer. Highfather never asked, Orion never asked, Barda never asked. Whenever people have been on Apokolips, the main thought has generally been 'Get the gently caress off before we're killed'. Superman went there to fight Doomsday. Anarky of all people went there to talk with him(One of the weirder stories, part of a weirder set). Since I've been out of comics a while, I'm sure you've got more info than me that shows him as being as bad as you say. But I don't recall it, even from what I get from places like here.

I think Darkseid filled the same massively-powerful threat (what's DC's equivalent of Marvel's Cosmic threats?) as Lex or the like did for mortal ones. You'll get a few awkward moments, but he's never presented as comical, or taken out by everyone in coloured tights. Plus, he's got his signature move: chilling on your couch, and waiting for you to get home. http://darkseidchillingonacouch.tumblr.com/

Chuck Austen ongoing series. At least a one shot is over in a month. Loeb did good by Darkseid. Even after getting stuck onto the Source Wall by Superman in the Supergirl arc, he bribes Supes into pulling him off during the next arc, and he had Etrigan on a leash.

Hell, he brainwashed Supes to lead his army on earth.

I think Dan Turpin was the only casualty in that episode.

Darkseid is a pretty good guy if he can take a planet without killing anyone.

Holy poo poo Stokoe doing more Marvel stuff. Never thought I'd see that again. And of course in one image he outdoes everything ever done with the "proper" Age of Ultron event.

drat, I didn't think I'd see crowd scenes like that outside of a Sergio Aragones title.

Stokoe excels at them. Orc Stain has some completely insane crowd scenes. P.S. Everyone read Orc Stain and Godzilla: Half Century War
