I realize people like mocking teams they don't like when they fail, that's a part of every sport, but La Liga isn't a poo poo league, a bunch of the world's best players play there and La Liga teams are always fighting for the CL and EL.

Plus the EL bar Atleti hasn't exactly been the lesser Spanish clubs' forte since about 2008, it's been dominated more by Portuguese/this year Italian sides of late.
