I'm constantly searching for the most ignorant of rappers because I like to offend the old people I drive past through my Connecticut suburb. So far I've found Gucci Mane and Juicy J, which are both insanely awesome and prolific, but I feel like I'm missing so much more. What other rappers set Black people back 50 years that I need to hear? I can't ask anyone I know in real life because the only rap fans in Connecticut are backpackers who are still impressed by hysterical lyrical miracles on a world spherical and should be killed for their poor taste. They don't have to be from the Dirty South, although I feel like the style I'm looking for is more prevalent down there, but I don't discriminate.

You probably already know those Brick Squad guys besides Gucci, but definately Waka and OJ da Juiceman especially. It's kind of hard to beat Juicy J in my mind right now... which just makes me think of Project Pat and mid-era Three-Six records.

Also some Dipset maybe?

Looking for some music suggestions, please. Just coming off of copious amounts of Wolf (the album, of course), Du∆lity by Captain Murphy, and a Childish Gambino concert. Feeling quite behind in this thread, to say the least.

I definitely enjoyed the tracks with more raw sounding beats/production. I also really dig some of the psychedelic approach Murphy had, but anyone with a real "out there" sound is appealing. Examples of a few favorite songs from the artists I named would be Cowboy, The Ritual, and Backpackers.

If anyone needs more details/specifics, I'm happy to share. Cool thread, eager to jump in.

Most of the other OF stuff would probably fit the bill (especially Tyler and Earl's first albums, all of Jet Age of Tomorrow (and Pyramid Vttra's solo stuff), the first two OF tapes). Spark Master Tape has some similarities to Captain Murphy imo. Something a bit older would be Edan's "Beauty and the Beat" (one of my fav albums of all time). For more out there stuff that's similar to what you mentioned, Issue & Big War album, Khalil Nova, Gorgeous Children, and a lot of Little Ugly Mane's more recent stuff. That should be a decent start. I'm not gonna go digging, but you may wanna check around the new year stuff for the best of lists of people in this thread and randomly listen to some of them just to know what else is happening and see if you like that stuff. I mention this because there's been a lot of stuff that was popular that's less traditional than usual.
