Yea, story quests and the matterboard are only needed to get certain characters' partner cards and client orders, get items that are only available as matterboard rewards, or fulfill bingo requirements.

unless you guys are only online at the exact same time I am sure you can sneak them in at some point when nobody is around/waiting for your whole group to get together I am sure there are people who hit the level cap on multiple classes without touching matterboard 2

Which is why Sega keeps putting matterboard poo poo on bingo cards.

I don't mind Lottie, but she is kind of..bland. At least she's not Quna. Anyway, hold onto your butts because 12-15* passes showed up in the player shop provisional search accidentally: http://www.pso-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217817

Is there a lobby other than 20 where english speakers congregate? Because Jesus gently caress, the assortment of pedophiles and ERPer weeaboos in 20 would make starfleet dental collectively break out in hives. I would pay Sega good money just to give me a fire extinguisher that could be used in the lobby. There's a full-time game just in hosing down anyone who yells any variant of, "I am senpai's slave kawaii desu!"

Typically if I'm playing PSO2, I'm usually partying with Dawnfire and Kirby, and usually we chill on any block between 11-16. When I'm not with them I just kinda solo on those blocks anyways. Though typically any block thats near filled with english players tends to be almost as bad as 20 anyways. Dawn and Kirby can attest to the random gently caress-offs that spout the same poo poo.

So I'm patiently (foolishly?) waiting for a localized release, but one thing that bugged me when I played the game in its infancy was the severe lack of weapon options for classes, particularly rangers. It's kind of lame that you're stuck with gunslashes, rifles and launchers for the whole game unless you switch classes. I remember in PSO rangers could wield doublesabers and partisans, and of course mechguns. I'm not sure why mechguns are limited to gunners or why they're even a separate class instead of an extension of the ranger. Just a disappointing design decision for me I guess.
|
# ? Mar 12, 2014 08:13 |
|
Yeah, Ranger always gets shafted, but that's kinda what the subclassing system is for, I guess. Ranger is just the subclassiest class next to Force.
|
# ? Mar 12, 2014 08:34 |
|
There's plenty of options for weapon types, but you have to make a pretty sizable time investment to unlock the advance classes that can use them. They really ought to just be available from the beginning- they're not really better than the stating classes, just variants of them. I wish the class system allowed for more freedom. It's way more rigid than it ought to be, I think. edit: A western release might still be in the cards, but I wouldn't place any bets on when it might be released. Not even this year. edit2: Just checked Relic's careers page, and it looks like that job posting for working on localizing a "current SEGA MMO" from a while ago got filled at some point. AIDA and friends are on-selling Webmoney now, for a few bucks cheaper than Play-Asia: http://arks-layer.com/webmoney.php Personally, I'd spend the two or three bucks more and have the piece of mind that I was dealing with a generally trustworthy company and not a generally incompetent tinkerer (using the word programmer would be a stretch), but that's just me.

Please note that they're asking for gift payment instead of payment for goods; they literally charge more than most because they eat less fees. I'd definitely recommend eBay, Play-Asia or even CN-USA before them.

Eigo posted:Please note that they're asking for gift payment instead of payment for goods; they literally charge more than most because they eat less fees. I'm not saying that Arks-Layer guys can't be trusted, but if something does go wrong, you'll want that Paypal protection. On top of that, there have been reports of Paypal cracking down on illicit sellers doing this and placing holds on their accounts as well as the accounts of the senders.

I do a lot of business via PayPal, and they get really, really, really pissed if someone tries to circumvent paying fees. They will freeze accounts involved in suspicious transactions, and it's an enormous hassle to get everything straightened out. If you don't care about the possibility of may be losing access to your PayPal account for awhile, then knock yourself out. Otherwise, steer clear.
