If everyone operated on that idea there would be no CFC, or any other large long lasting nullsec empires. So he hacked their forum, found evidence that all the "logistics problems" of helping LV(?) were actually them tired of propping up LV, and that devs were giving them the lowdown on upcoming expansions before anyone else, and some other poo poo. tl;dr: when you hire a hacker to do a thing, and he does the thing, you pay him.

Test has more than enough history for BNI to know what it was getting into, also remember HERO is made up of just more than BNI and Test, N3 rejects HONOR and Nexus fleet are both part of HERO. From what I can tell HONOR and Nexus both pushed for going with test more than BNI did, since BNI is the most independent of nullsec allegiances out all of HERO. Test is also pretty much making this their "come back tour" and with that of course throwing out any chance of HERO ever being successful (long term of course) barring N2 propping them up just as much as we prop the RUS up.

Alexzandvar posted:There's a certain segment of the EVE population who see EVE's longevity as validation for their gently caress you got mine style of life, when its exact proof of the opposite. The FYGM interpretation of Eve success ignores the fact that every single successful alliance in the game's history has actually been pretty socialist internally, including even Remedial-led Goonfleet (free frigates and skillbooks). Surprisingly, the groups that don't give their members any support don't do so well! Also, it's a video game, and people don't die IRL when they fail to pull themselves up by their space-bootstraps. pugnax posted:Man you dudes are buttsour about TEST. What gives? You continue to confuse butthurt with schadenfreude. Watching TEST fail repeatedly and never learn from their mistakes is hilarious, and the only reason to feel bad about it is that it appears they're taking a portion of BNI down with them this time.

pugnax posted:Man you dudes are buttsour about TEST. What gives? The Test of old before the fountain war destroyed it was viewed as a revival of the "power to the new guy" ideal and thus people placed a lot of hope for them to become something that would generate content for old and new player alike. Then comes the fountain war (which could have been a pretty down to the wire fight given the entity's involved) and Test is destoryed. The good corps from test would go on to join GSF, BL, PL (I think correct me if I'm wrong here) and various others nullsec sov owners of note. Then there's the poo poo part of Test which cost them the war, they went on to go play around in caldari FW while some of the other poo poo parts of Test/other test related alliances went on to form EMP. Now EMP has collapsed the poo poo parts of test have gotten the gang back together and are now going around spreading their cancer and vile onto everyone they can get their hands on and they view HERO as a shot at becoming "relevant". This however obviously is going rocky for Test because people in BNI want to have fun and Test is just as content to shitpost in local and hurfblurf in comms rather than do anything productive.

Is losing dread fleets a common occurrence in null-sec or was it because of ineptitude? In the grand scheme of things how big of a loss is this for BNI? I have about 2 billion ISK and I am contemplating trading a PLEX in for multi account training. So I can get an alt training to do PI/CARGO/Trading. Seems all the rich vets are always talking about their trading alts in Jita. I am playing EvE like a survival game and it's quite fun, I die every time I get the courage to fight. I don't think I have one solo-kill yet. Lowkin fucked around with this message at 03:26 on Mar 12, 2014 |
