I think JL8 needs The Question to join the class as the kid who always sits in a corner by him/herself. I'd be fine with Szasz or Montoya to better round out the girls to boys.

No, the Robin costume was the costume Bruce wore to protect his identity when he was learning to be a detective as a teenager. The detective who trained him thought he looked as colorful as a robin red-breast in that outfit, so he called him "Robin".

Years later, Bruce gave that costume to a kid whose parents had just been murdered and said "You're Robin now."

Besides the terrible art and special eyes, I guess this mainly caught my attention because of the Mystique. Why would Marvel/Fox/whoever let them publish this? Are these cash-in books so bad they're protected as parody? Who buys these things anyway?

Well, I'm sure it's okay because it's less that Mystique is in the comic as it is this biography of Jennifer Lawrence includes her playing Mystique in X-men: First Class.

The Ted Kennedy giant head reminds me of way back in the early days of Conan O'Brien's talk show, he'd have a running skit where famous people were "interviewed" when it was really just a cutout of their head on s screen with the mouth cutout. Ted Kennedy was a frequent "guest" and one time he randomly shouted "If you give me bourbon, my head can grow larger!" and they started "feeding" bourbon to the screen and the head did indeed begin to grow.
