Other characters only have 1, but since Joslyn is the second most common character in the game, I don't think it is because limited time/resources. Joslyn is just generally melancholic. Visit Julianna! Whatever mood is fine. If we're doing two classes thrice each, court manners, production, and production. (that is, I want her to study court manners, but I really, really want her to study production) If we're doing three classes twice each, court manners, production, and foreign intelligence. Don't wear the necklace if we're able not to wear it. As far as the snake goes, this is how I pretty much always start my games, whether I'm planning to be Warrior Queen of the World  or Magical Girl With A Sparkly Crown  , since I was discouraged early on by not having composure 10. (I also like seeing Elodie much more active - with Julianna there, Elodie just leaps away from the snake, but without Julianna, Elodie tries to flip the snake away from both of them.)

Set her free because the game is making a pretty big point of "do this or you'll be killed". Also, Reflexes and Presence to dodge arrows and, eventually, get the magic thingie back. Apologize to the maid because an angry maid can open the way to assassins...  This is making me paranoid!
