Now I want to see Tyler or Rashaad working with Zorg and Roy...

I didn't like Tyler at first but he's really grown on me these last few episodes. Even Nico's bearable now. Daran is incredibly talented but he's completely lacking in charisma to the point that I'm just not interested in watching him.

I'm just glad Rashaad is still in and hope he does something amazing soon . Yep. I think that often the people who will get saved are the ones with potential; she had very little, really, to do anything seriously awesome where Rashaad does. The whole time I was like "Holy gently caress he's toast" though. His was the worst thing he's ever done ten times over and rivaled if not exceeded the Chole "melted cake anime character" last week.

He also got super defensive when somebody merely suggested his design was similar to Darren's.

I get an awkward/geeky/gay vibe from Tyler. One or all, take your pick. I don't get why Niko was not on the bottom this week. Putting aside the fetus thing, the face was atrocious. And I really didn't get what was so great about Chloe's Frankenstein thing. Daran is this season's Miranda, except without the constant whining. Judges' favorite, even though his work doesn't seem to be especially outstanding.

The worst part about Daran's was the extra ear on the neck: I thought he was following Mr. Westmore's advice and just doing two faces put together. Where the gently caress did the ear come from and what was the mouth supposed to be? I really disliked his creature. I think Graham's electro-monster girl should've won. Before the final reveal I thought it was going to be loving awful, but he really pulled off a crazy good face. lifts cats over head posted:I think Tyler's super talented but he annoys me enough that I want him eliminated. Tyler and Rashaad being besties. I can see how people find him annoying, but almost everyone on every reality show is such a gigantic loving whiny baby that it's a nice change of pace. A lot of the behind the scenes videos on their site are mildly entertaining if you're bored.

To be clear, my "gently caress Nico" sentiment wasn't because I was upset about Corrine... in fact, it might have been because I was so sure they were going to eliminate Rashad, and I felt like Nico should've been on the bottom with Rashad and Nico should have been eliminated. I'm okay with Corrine being eliminated, I just didn't think the judges would get rid of her, because I perceived her as one of their favorites. Glad I was wrong, but Nico still sucks.

The zombie song is pretty loving funny. http://www.syfy.com/videos/Face%20Off/Bonus%20Scenes/vid:2748575 The video of the card Matt left everyone doesn't do anything dispel my view that he's an awkward motherfucker. Nor does Tyler's, "He was incredibly knowledgeable," since it sounded really forced. Bored fucked around with this message at 15:48 on Mar 14, 2014 |

KungFu Grip posted:Good, I think Syfy is basically testing with these past few shows as pilots to see which do well. I'm hoping Zorg's show gets picked up if they do actually plan on doing it full time. I just found out that 'Foxy & Co' and last week's 'My Big Fat Geek Wedding are pilots that SyFy are airing to see if they get a good enough reaction to merit a full season. They're calling them SyFy Firsts and they're hoping that people will get behind at least one of them: quote:We want to know if you like them. Your feedback is a major part of our decision to provide more installments! Using the buttons below, let us know if you give the show a thumbs up and add in any comments as you see fit. The first show two weeks ago was called 'Carvers' and it's about an ex Hollywood FX artist and his team who create monsters out of edible products for corporate events and suchlike. Their main task in the episode was to create 70 highly detailed carved pumpkins for a fun park in Hong Kong in just 5 days but their first little job was to create a chocolate Medusa bust for one of McKenzie Westmore's parties. Her house is huge, the Westmore's certainly aren't struggling to make ends meet.

This will be the second time Syfy has tried to re-create the success of Face Off and they keep making the same mistake. Nobody that watched Face Off wants to see more reality-show drama, we're here for the monster makeup designs. So please don't produce a show that's 44 minutes long that includes 34 minutes of meeting with clients, dramatically speeding to locations to make a (completely made up) deadline, and random poo poo about Eric Fox's home life. All that poo poo is fake, and we know it, we aren't in it for that.

I really hope they've rediscovered the successful face/off formula (more creation and less drama) for Jim Henson's creature shop.

As soon as they mentioned the chocolate river, all I could think of was the "What did you do to get kicked out of Willy Wonka's factory?" thread. Love how so many of the contestants can't figure out how to pronounce their creatures. Edit: Whoever drew Niko's apparently used "Spore" as a reference.

Also I know that they're basing this off the movie versions, but they could at least acknowledge that the Knids actually appeared on page in the sequel to Charlie and the Chocolate factory and are both described and illustrated.

Grahams is really cool. I like this challenge just because everyone is going in a different direction. One annoying thing is that they want to design creatures but they all end up being humanoids.

Vagina monster! Any time there's a vertical mouth, that's what most people see...right? Green vagina with googly eyes.

The main reason I feel so strongly about the Knids is that they absolutely terrified me as a child. They're amorphous fleshy aliens that actually kill a bunch of people. The whole plot of Great Glass Elevator is basically Charlie and his family trying to escape from this terrifyingly deadly enemy that they have no hope whatsoever of fighting. It's pretty dark, even for a Dahl book.

wow, fuuuuuck that rabbit. It's creepy as poo poo. I always think rabbit-type things are horrible ideas, but this one and the one Alana made for the Alice in Wonderland challenge were awesomely creepy. e: also, Tyler's better win.
