This was a rather infamous strip due to its content, with cheesecakey drawings of women and the general adult humor. Lots of censorship during its newspaper run, so it's understandable why Cho decided to switch to comic books.

Some goons might get a kick out of a cartoon strip I did for some weekly county papers. It was called "The Fingers" and it was about a family from the Finger Lakes of upstate New York that had the last name Finger. It ran for about seven months, but ended prematurely because I moved to the midwest. While the jokes were not region specific really, it was drawn for a niche community audience so I'm going to a stealth post it for the goons that might like that sort of thing. Click.

Am I the only one who thinks this looks like porn? I mean, there's nothing sexual about the style or content but somehow the way the characters are drawn-

Oh right it kind of looks like Liberty Meadows. That probably explains it.

And maybe I should add Oh Baby. We've got posters killing themselves over Lester and Holbrook and the Retail strip, why not make their lives complete with non-stop Oh Baby? I am sorely tempted.

Al Capp is actually who I was trying to imitate. Frank Cho is a world class artist and I can't hold a candle to that dude. Since I was on a weekly print schedule I wasn't able to do much of any continuity between cartoon strips, and admittedly my day job interfered with spending quality time on it. I'm mostly proud of it because newspapers have some of the most demanding deadlines of any industry, and I drew it on the weekends while I was putting in 45+ hours making ads and doing page layouts for the papers it went in to.
