Some guest on Coast 2 Coast last night said that there were 20 engineers from Freescale on board. Since the plane was headed toward Diego Garcia, he instantly jumped to the conclusion that the US government hijacked the plane to kidnap these engineers because of something something NSA something something wiretaps something something government contracts. I'm pretty sold on that conclusion

My favorite part: "interestingly, my father was a fan of the TV show, Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry because he knew that the technology portrayed on the show had already been developed. He told me he was baffled as to why Roddenberry would be allowed to display the technology in such an open matter."

I want to see the captain's flight simulator setup. I found his channel but it just had stuff on air conditioners and things. It must have been taken down. Anybody mirror it?

I saw it on some news story maybe a week ago. He had a pretty sweet 3-monitor setup but aside from that it wasn't anything too mind blowing.

It was actually a 4-monitor setup (lower one for flight instruments) and a yoke/throttle/rudder pedals. Nothing any flight-sim nerd with money doesn't already have. I guess the FBI goes nuts when people get in a car wreck and find out they have an iRacing setup with a hydraulic motion-seat

I'm loving jealous that he had a job that he loved so much that he'd pretend to do it while he was at home. How many people have dreams about being at work and wake up in the morning completely pissed off? Not this guy. Way to go, dude. Except for the part where he likely killed everyone.

Yeah honestly I'm much happier putting my life in the hands of a dude who loves his job that much, unless he's into trying sick moves his buddies showed him last night.

If a cab driver plays a lot of F1 racing games you wouldn't say he's doing what he loves because he's a professional driver. Maybe he really wanted to be a stunt pilot, and one day he just snapped and started trying to do loop de loops with the 777.
