Thanks for this. I used Renoise, which has very tight timing and is often used for extremely fast breakcore. I switched off quantization and let things get a little too loose. I know what you mean about needing another element, but I couldn't find anything that worked for me, so figured "hey, it's done!". It's fun to do, though, so I'll carry on trying.

Yo I'm looking to work with corny preset sound but the selection in Maschine and Ableton are too tasteful and/or not useful. Just seeing if any of y'all have or know of any cheesy (preferably free) sample packs that I can gently caress with? 808 style is preferred, but corny outdated boom bap sounds work too. Im only asking because I have no idea what to Google
