Needful Things was probably my favourite Stephen King novel growing up, and the movie of it sucked. I'm so glad R&M did a full length parody of it, because it was absolutely perfect. Also I'm kinda hoping that the preview for the next episode means that we'll see the clip from the intro where robot Morty's face falls off. That one always makes me laugh for some reason.

How many things from the credits have already happened? I got into R&M late, missing the first five episodes.

I remember some talk during the break for the Olympics I think about how the shows direction would be changing a bit and that the creators had no idea people would like this show that much. My guess is the change was all the Summer episodes? If so I'm on board, roided up Summer cracks me up every time I think about it, and if I had to choose between R&M or R&S I really couldn't.

Edit: And we haven't seen the opening shot of Rick abandoning Morty to the giant frog monsters, though that seems more of a "haha look how capable and somewhat callous Rick is and how dopey and out of his league Morty is" setup than an actual episode bit.

My favorite part about that montage was how the beat-down routine was always the same, making the whole bonding experience all the more better because you get a sense that Rick and Summer had planned the whole thing out.

I was laughing too hard to notice Rick trying to out- the devil on my first viewing! That may be my new favorite single-serving-visual-gag of the season, as it perfectly encapsulates Rick's personality in a gif-worthy format.

I actually think Summer is a better foil since she has some degree of logic in her arguments with Rick. They're always a little off but there's a seed in there.

I think it's the opposite of what happened with the South Park episode about the cable company. In the original airing you could see "Time Warner Cable" appear during one of the animations, where the "Time Warner" part had been apparently covered up during the more static scenes.
