You don't have to make an account to play, that's just for multiplayer. It might be a good idea to do "Guest Offline" mode until things calm down a bit.

The game seems to work at least, although I have to say the 3D character models are pretty terrible and I'd wager that big reviewers are unfortunately going to drop points for that. Antialiasing doesn't seem to apply to them either, for some reason.
