The group can usually meet either in this location or most parts of San Diego County or in southern Orange County. Possibly the Riverside area. The Group: The group already exists, and we can usually muster 4-5 people about twice a month. We want more people because we're a little spread out and therefore can't meet as often as we like. What we play: In short, we love board games. Kemet, Settlers of Catan, Resistance: Avalon, Space Alert, and X-wing miniatures (not a board game, I know) are crowd favorites. If we can gather more people interested in these types of games so that we can play more regularly that would be great. However, there is also a small core of us (currently three people, soon to be four with any luck) that wish to begin the adventure that is  Twilight Imperium . We understand what the game involves are prepared to commit the time and effort. Unfortunately not all of our members are that hardcore or can spare the time, so if you have the gaming spirit and sheer fortitude required to start making epic space operas then send me a message! (Or if you just want to play the other games, that's cool too).

You know how it is, with groups falling apart after a couple years of play. Me and my good friend I met through this weekly table are looking to move on from the group and start or join a new one. In addition to the two of us we're trying to snatch up another player from the defunct group (a solid but infrequent GM) as well as another guy I know. They're both still up in the air though. Mostly we need a GM (who doesn't), and maybe another player. What are you willing to play - Oh man pretty much anything. We've played a lot of Warhammer Fantasy in the past, that was a lot of fun. We've played some Dungeon World too, and Dark Heresy and D&D 4th and that Dragon Age RPG that isn't very good and whatever else. I personally tend to lean more towards swords and sorcery high fantasy stuff but with a group with good rapport it's fun playing in any setting as long as the rules don't bog you down. We prefer our systems to keep rules out of the way of the play. If you want to take an action that might take a bit too long, or break the laws of physics a little bit and it's all in the name of fun and a good cinematic scene, let's hear it and roll with it. Expose yourself to the winds of chaos and corrupt the poo poo out of yourself to cast a Witch spell you don't normally have once. Throw a ham full of old unstable gunpowder down an Ogre's mouth and explode it. Whatever man. We (including the potential you) are a group of friends that meet up roughly weekly to have a good time and help each other tell a story. We can appreciate a good bit of drama, but mostly we're pretty lighthearted in our play, despite the horrible things we may be doing. We're relatively normal people and pretty easy to get along with, I promise. Hit me up, let's play some games.

Many of these were for only one or two sessions, but when we find something we really like we tend to stick with it. We are currently playing a military mech game using Fate and also playing the Battlestar Galactica Boardgame.

My group has enough players, but some are less constant than others. Including myself there is maybe 3-4 constant players, but a a few more would be nice. What are you willing to play?: You name it, we have played/want to/or are willing to play it. Some of our biggest interest RPGs are FFG's Warhammer 40k games, ShadowRun, and oWoD. Android: Netrunner, some Magic, and L5R tend to be what we stick to card game wise. About the group: The group is all mid-20s players. Most of us just out of, or even still in college. On the best days there are six players, but three of those are sketchy at best. Our group tends to focus on story more than anything, and good roleplaying beats out knowing a book cover to cover. We're a pretty welcoming group of people. None of us (maybe one) fits the stereotypical neckbeard persona, so you won't have to worry about having a "Oh god what's that smell" moment.
