Movie from the early to mid 80s. Was released on VHS.

It's about a man and his wife and (somehow) they make it. Big house with a pool (which they go skinny dipping in), cars, etc. But they develop a drug habit and quickly spiral down to low income housing. At one point the guy passively allows his wife to be pimped/raped in exchange for either drugs or to pay off a debt.

Long shot, but any guesses?

This could be late nineties, early 00s. A well off doctor and wife lose their kids in car crash, then the doctor dies trying to save them/someone else at the scene when another car doesn't see the accident. The rest of the movie is the dad's search for the kids in the afterlife. I vaguely remember one of the kids appeared as a grownup and was helping him along the way, to reveal themselves during some emotional event.

Trying to remember a short film.

It was a drama, about a young boy (6-10) who discovers a terrible secret when he peeks into his neighbor's window. I think the neighbor was a minister, or some other well respected member of the community, and I remember there was a little redheaded girl in it as well.

I thinks it's only ten minutes long or less, and it's only a few years old.

Found it. "No One Knows". Took trawling though my IMDB internet history (and drat, I'm on IMDB alot), but I found it. I've never even seen it, but it's like having a tune, or a line of dialogue stuck in your head, and it just continues to niggle at you, driving you insane.

Talking with a friend last night about "Almost Live," he started remembering a sketch comedy show bit - possibly from the 90s or early 00s and probably on HBO, MTV or Comedy Central - where a group of people (scientists?) were talking about monkeys losing their arms, leading to forests full of monkey limbs.

I checked into Mr. Show, The Kids in the Hall, The State and The Edge, but I'm coming up empty. The closest I've come is a State sketch about "monkey torture," but I don't think that's what he was thinking of. Any thoughts?

A movie came on, I believe, USA Network in '89 or 90. Vampire movie in a modern setting, I remember they must have advertised the poo poo out of it because there was considerable hype in my ~4th grade class. Maybe it was a USA original? A series pilot? Dunno.

I only watched a couple parts of it, there was a scene where a vampire exploded under fluorescent or UV lights or something, and a scene where a guy with a "foreign" accent screamed something like "COME AND GET ME CREATURE OF THE NIGHT! YOU SLIMY, FILTHY CRAWLER OF THE DARK" while he was in a dark alley. Or something.

Forever Knight was apparently a USA Network production, even though it aired on CBS from 92-96. It's possible they could have shown it on USA in reruns. The series was spun off from a 1989 TV movie called Nick Knight, also on CBS.

I remember Forever Knight being a thing but I kind of feel like this preceded it, so maybe '88? I could be wrong. I'll try to check out the pilot and/or 1st episode sometime.

Posted this in GBS before I found out about this thread, but...

Alright, so there's this movie I remember from way back when I was a kid. It was some kind of horror movie about a dead baby ghost, and there was something about it just wanting to sleep - they called it "sleepyhead" or something.

Anyway, so near the end of the movie they're trying to trap this ghost, and they use ground up monkey bones on it, because that's supposed to induce sleep. But it gets all pissed off and shakes the dust off on the cast, making them get sleepy. Then some woman starts singing a lullaby, and the big baby ghost turns into a regular-looking little boy and goes to sleep.

I've been remembering this movie for years, but I can't find any kind of information online about it.

It happens sometimes. People just explode. Natural causes.
I very vaguely remember this from my childhood: it was some kind of horror movie for kids, or atleast an episode of a kids horror anthology show (like Goosebumps, but I've looked at every episode and it's not it) that was clearly heavily inspired by They Live. It was the same basic setup, but with a kid finding glasses that let him see people as monsters instead of Rowdy Roddy Piper. I remember there was a scene in a crazy monster dungeon, and I remember that there was a monster-cop that put the kid in the dungeon. I think that might have been the end of the movie, but putting the kid in jail seems like too much of a downer ending for a kids thing. I also think the kid may have gotten the glasses from a very stereotypical mad scientist that gets dissapeared after he gives away the glasses.

I'm trying to remember a name of a kinda obscure movie from the late-40s/early-50s, was controversial for its time. I thought it was called Jesus In Concrete, but that doesn't seem to be the case, though I'm sure it had 'Jesus' in the title. I don't remember a whole lot of it, but it was set in New York, or maybe Chicago. The main character worked on construction sites, lived in a run-down apartment with his family, and if I remember right, had an Italian accent. I don't recall much of the details, but I remember him having having lots of trouble at home and at work, he might have had a mistress on the side. He may possibly have been agitating for unions, as I seem to recall his bosses not being fond of him. Anyway, at the end, he decides to pull things together with his life, goes back to work, and it ends with him falling into some concrete from a scaffold or other high spot and drowning in it. He might have been pushed, if the union thing is a correct memory. I remember one of the last images is of him with his head and hands just above the surface of the concrete.

Does anyone remember the name of this animated movie from, I'm guessing the 70s?

All I remember is that it had a medieval fantasy setting, and that the film's ending had two wizards fighting, and the good wizard kills the evil wizard by reciting scientific facts, which negated all magic in the world.

It also aired on UK Cartoon Network once if that helps anybody.

Thrilled to find this thread.

I saw a movie a couple years back... It was foreign language with subtitles I believe, and I think it may have been black and white. It was presented as three acts, if I recall right.

Anyway, the lights go out in a city, and people become increasingly violent and agitated. It's not just panic brought on by the dark, there's clearly something making people act that way. The star of the first act is a woman, and it's about her fighting her way out of an apartment building in the morning and getting to her car.

In the second act I think she adds two guys to her escape plan in the car, and I know they break into people's houses, but I can't remember why. I think the second act was sort of a zombie comedy sort of thing.

The third act was the three of them, or maybe it was down to two? getting to a train/subway station and waiting to see if the trains came in. That act was surreal on purpose.

I would almost think that the movie was made by 3 different crews, maybe as part of a project?

I had thought it was called Terminus 3 or Terminal but I've looked at every movie I can find with that name so that doesn't appear to be it. I can't even remember what language it was in. Ring any bells for anyone?

I'm looking for an old kung-fu movie I saw a long time ago, in a double feature with master of the flying guillotine (the superior movie of the two). Alright, here's one. I was on a trip to Australia, and had a layover in Malaysia for the night, but the plane left in the middle of the night. There was a man (The hero?) in a casino with a bunch of bad guys, and he's confronted by the boss (?), so what does he do? Grabs a deck of cards from the poker table, and with a great flourish, fans them out in midair. in a perfect circle. and they just hang there for a few seconds, until he puts his fist through them, and suddenly, the room is filled with flying cards everywhere. They then leap into the air, and start grabbing cards and throwing them at each other, turning into a crazy fight scene. And this was about the time i passed out, because it was probably 4 am.

Somewhere between like 1998 and 2005 (give or take) I saw a movie about some priests who were on some sort of mission. I remember it was really dark, and at one point a priest (maybe two) goes to visit some satanist or something, and there's people being tortured and crucified along the walls at this place as the priest heads through to find the leader. I think I saw this on HBO late one night.

It wasn't Constantine and it wasn't Priest.

This tickles the memory banks concerning the movie "Resurrection" with Christopher Lambert. It's an extremely poor man's "Se7en". David Cronenberg plays a priest, though, so that's something. Your description is also vaguely reminiscent of "Strangeland", another piece of crap. Neither of these have a priest as the lead, though, only minor characters. I also remember "The Apostate" with Dennis Hopper coming out roughly around the same time as these, featuring yet another tired serial killer plot, though the lead in this one is a priest.

This is a Western. The basic premise is that the devil has kidnapped the main character's wife. All I remember is the ending. The hero finally finds his wife, but the devil has used his devil magic to turn her into a harlot! She's a Wild West old-timey film harlot, though, so all she's doing is giggling and showing her ankles. The hero is horrified and enraged, and challenges the devil to a shootout. The devil offers him five mistakes. The sixth mistake will be his last. The shootout proceeds, and the devil shouts out each mistake as it occurs. Of course, the hero manages to get the drop on the devil and free his wife from her devil spell.

All I recall is it was (maybe) about a spy/detective working on (maybe) a movie set or live TV set. I remember it being a nice looking film too, and had a sort of timeless look rather than a specific period. Perhaps the closest approximation I could give to a time period would be around the 70s but thinking about it, it could have been the 50s or the late 90s. I remember there being a particularly rainy scene where the main character goes from outside the set to the inside and talks to some people. Vague, I know. :v:

That's really all I have on it and it's eluded me for years, though I never tried too hard to look for it.
