I think there should be achievements for bad players. Like one for the first time you do more damage to the enemy than your own team with HE during a match, or one for not screaming a little and twitching your crosshair 50 degrees in a random direction when an enemy walks around a corner in front of you

I can hit a lot better with the other guns so it shouldn't be sensitivity, right? Try the weapons course until you can get your time under 45 seconds or so

i do really like this game though, because at my current level of skill and care when my teammates are clueless it's funny, not rage-inducing. although i don't have a rank yet, not caring if we win at the end makes it a lot more fun than i imagine the alternative is.

So someone gave me a bunch of commendations in a match and was asking for returns... Aside from some smiley faces on your dashboard, is there any reason to have these? Or was this person just desperately seeking human interaction?

I'm pretty sure mcvey has "great teacher" commendations for just saying "wow kid never awp" over and over (actually this is probably good advice 99% of the time).

So it's literally just to stroke your own ego? I kinda feel sorry for the guy feeling the need for validation. In other news, I've managed to bottom frag my way into Nova II games. One more win and I'll have my rank, and I'll be very surprised if it isn't mid silver. I can't click on heads very good, and I refuse to believe that watching streams has made my situational awareness make up for my lack of killing.

I've played CS so long that I've come to have, well, I won't call it a superstition, but a general belief in some kind of general compensation principle or some poo poo. If a team suffers a lot of unlucky rounds against them in one half, the next half things tend to balance out. It's weird and sounds idiotic, but I really think it is true. Far too many games I've played where one team gets a statistically deviant score - say 7-8 as T on nuke, or 9-6 as T on train, only to have the next half have a similar result for the other team. And it isn't just something like one team is better as T/CT or whatever. This only applies when both teams are quite evenly matched, of course. No idea why it happens, I guess a confluence of factors + karmic god of CS.
