One of my favorite things was when John suddenly realized Con Air wasn't good. I'm disappointed hussie went back on that. I love the idea of a character directly tossing aside the cheap meme version of themselves. Especially since I've actually seen people on the internet have tiny existential crises when they stop liking some video game or something, because they invested their identity in being a fanboy. So, to keep interest in Homestuck going, Hussie is getting a bunch of guys to do fanfiction of the series... something that is in no small supply already, I mean I guess it's an idea but we really are awash in Homestuck fanfiction as is, officially produced Homestuck Fanfiction isn't gonna offer much we can't already get elsewhere. Unless he makes it all Canon, in which case

He's got some decent webcomic people on-board already, so it has potential, but I've enjoyed very few fanworks, so I am skeptical. At least it's on a different website, so I can just avoid it if it gets bad!

The main problem people have with fan content, if I'm not mistaken, is that there is no quality control, so 90% of it is poo poo. With Hussie himself on quality control duty, I say this is gonna rock the boat like a whale doing a somersault.

I don't know, maybe this won't be terrible, and maybe we'll see some stuff that was only talked about, like when jade talked to her denizen and it was simply described as "shenanigans". Or when Gamzee killed everyone earlier in that one off shot timeline. Aw, who am I kidding, I'll probably read it because its more Homestuck.

Does this mean we might get to actually see the troll session's Black King fight in OFFICIAL capacity and make the whole Rex Duodecim Angelus fan animation project obsolete? Regardless, super interested to see where this goes. I'd love to explore some of the skipped over/alluded to scenes he mentions, especially if they get heavy into exploring the kids' planets and the lore of the game.

I don't see why this would be terrible considering it's vetted by Hussie and there already seems to be some pretty talented people contributing? I'm super excited for this. Not only is it a way to touch on stuff Hussie never had (and probably never will have) time to get to, but it's a great excuse for some other awesome webcomic authors to draw HS stuff!
