Here's my tribute to The Warrior's passing. Pretty sad timing of it all, but it was pretty amazing to see him back in the fold and making peace with everyone.

Sting...

"Mourning the loss of Jim Hellwig. I don't believe anyone has ever published this picture before today. The snapshot was taken two days before Thanksgiving in 1985, as we prepared to leave my house in Newhall, California and embark on a career in wrestling.

Jim always challenged me to strive at being the best, and I'll forever be grateful for the encouragement and motivation he provided.

I was looking forward to catching up with him, and I'm saddened we didn't have that opportunity before he passed. My heart goes out to his wife Dana and their two daughters, and they will remain in my prayers."

It was Sting who got the Warrior his start in wrestling. Jim was training for a bodybuilding contest and Steve Borden invited him to come to a wrestling training session with some other bodybuilders. The rest is history.

I sense you're angry about how often poo poo is repeated around here, but Make-A-Wish gives dying children a chance to do things they never believed they would. Cena flies around every free moment he has to help them do this.

Can we just leave the kids alone and respect as often as possible that our not-favorite-wressle-man may be doing something decent.

It's like 400 more than the Ultimate Warrior ever did. Even when they were just down the hallway and all he had to do was come out of his private dressing room, he refused to do them.

Then again, he also told child Ryan Gosling to gently caress off when he was asked for an autograph, so he can't be all bad.

Whoever's dressing him usually doesn't do him any favours there. A tailored suit might make him look like less of an oaf but he/whoever seems to choose the boxiest, most horrible poo poo imaginable most of the time.

This is, of course, the only exception. This owned.

Some people were interested in seeing my Shield and AJ cosplays from Mania week. I took so many great pics but here are a few :

(Don't talk to me I'm still a puddle on the floor *flail*)

And this is what happens when you queue up for a New Age Outlaws signing dressed as their opponents :P

He's shouting over to Roman Reigns' table
"IS THIS ONE OF YOURS??!" and then fake throttled me.

Fantastic week, had such a great time and now to start saving up for the next one!

WWE put up a pretty cool gallery of the photobooth they had set up Wrestlemania weekend. http://www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemania/30/best-of-photo-booths

Steen really has slimmed down lately, and he looked and moved really well. Tanaka/Steen was one of those "only in a WWE video game" fantasy matches I've played half a dozen times over the years, and to see it actually happen in real life was loving awesome. It really was a great match, I just hope the two camera guys at ringside recorded it for some kind of DVD because I really want to see it again from a more sober perspective. :v:

He wasn't even supposed to be signing on that day either! We were stood in Brad Maddox's line waiting for the changeover when loads of people started running over to join the queue. Then this guy walks past and swaps with Brad.
Many things were achieved that day. Meeting Roaddogg was also my 12/13 year old's dream too, and Alberto Del Rio called me sweetheart. I'm not sure how I came out of that alive...

Yep, but the travel packages are real good value! We got the silver ones and our seats were great for Mania, HOF and Raw. All we had to add on were flights and extra hotel nights as we we wanted longer in NOLA. It's def worth it. When we were out there it felt like 99% of people were fellow Brits tbh, couldn't go anywhere without hearing a Northerner I swear...

Oh you're from the UK as well? Neat. How much did you end up spending for the whole trip (tickets/flights/hotels etc) if you don't mind my asking?

The time difference actually wouldn't be that onerous for a UK Wrestlemania. You'd be looking the a 2 PM start time which isn't awful for a Sunday, although I'm sure they'd rather not gently caress with their most successful show for obvious reasons.

Still, with the Network I don't think giving the UK a regular PPV that would start at 3 PM on the East coast would be a terrible idea.
