Marvel died so SF4 could make a comeback. The matches and turnys since Ultra was revealed (I guess that is when it started) have been great. I guess people realizing how bad of a game MvC3 is helped too.

TRB is showing playstation all stars. I wonder why the viewers just plummeted? If they are trying to rekindle interest they really need to make the dlc characters free. I have no interest in paying for them and I wouldnt play the game with an incomplete roster. Its such a chore to watch, how much do you think Sony gave them?

It's weird because I just watched the Game Grumps VS videos with PSA and the horribleness of the game was hilarious. It's funny how it wasn't immediately obvious who was winning just by looking at the screen. The HUD is completely useless, unless they have changed it since last year.

It isn't immediately obvious if you're thinking of it like smash or other fighting games. There's no percentages or health, just "I'm alive right now" and "1-shot". You can see stocks. It's a party game honestly.

I go to both and frankly there's a few reasons people started to go to the HOC: number one is that it's cheaper and more often than not, Bum does not charge entry fees, and people feel better about playing there because there's no pressure of a tournament. Also, there's more Marvel stations (6 to NL's three), more people seem okay going to the Bronx on a Thursday then they do seem comfortable going to Sunset Park on a Wednesday, and more specifically Marvel people come out on to Bum's at times. Both are usually really good and vibrant scenes on their respective nights, and the beef is played up quite a bit: they're complimentary if anything. That being said Marvel heads are picky and getting them together in NYC is like herding cats. Even though poo poo is closer here than in Cali (people have traveled ~2 hours and up for one of FGTV's events), cars are better than subways as far as fighting games are concerned. Also, living costs are higher here so folks have less free time, AND there's less tournaments/majors. Most folks don't come out on a given night, the folks you see on a given night are only a small percentage of the overall scene and Bum's been doing something pretty cool to try and bring them out from the shadows without fear of getting perfected by top players. It's a variety of reasons, but most people who really care and manage to will go to both. I wish I could commit to making it to both every week but they're both so far  maybe that's why I'm kinda bad compared to everyone else, haha
