I do. I'd much rather have a Europa league run and do a bit poo poo in the league next year regularly if we could manage it. Just so long as we don't look like getting relegated as a result

Well I think the bigger problem is that you have a million games away against Dinamo Kasdfoinalaksksja before you get to crash out against Benefica.

I agree with this. I know it affects league form and blah blah blah, but only getting to watch your team once a week (after getting knocked out of the domestic cups) is kinda lovely :(

Liverpool have benefitted hugely from not being in it this year. If your ambition is the Champions League then your better off without the Europa League.

I love that Liverpool might win the league despite not being able to defend. Always conceding but still scoring so much you win anyway is a good way to win imo

The problems in defence are getting slightly exaggerated imo, but yeah it's nice to not worry too much about going down 1-0 early because there's a decent chance you'll just go on to score 4. Look at the Cardiff game, lost the first goal then it ends 6-3. Proper leaky in that game but it doesn't matter when you can score like that.

It certainly makes games a whole lot more stressful.

I think we do actually defend reasonably well as a unit but seem to be more susceptible to individual errors. Kolo and Skrtel are good defenders but you can never quite trust them to keep up their concentration for ninety minutes.

I think next season we'll see a new left back but I'm happy to keep the rest of the back line. Skrtel has done enough to warrant keeping his place and Sakho is going to be brilliant for us. Flanagan would be unlucky to lose his starting spot but we're going to have a far busier schedule next season and he'll be first choice back up to both left and right back I'd imagine.

Europa league is mostly poo poo football played by poo poo teams in poo poo parts of the world.

Apart from beating Valencia I'd give the whole thing up for another 3 points in the league.

I was reading that Tiago Ilori is doing well at Granada. I had thought he was one of those that got signed and you never saw them again, hopefully he'll be ready to come back and do something. Supposedly he had Messi in his pocket last week so we'll need that kind of thing for the Champions League final next season.
