Might as well keep it where it first got noticed for now I guess? Yeah, that's true, though there's no reason why we can't plug it there too! By the way -- hey you! Man the scanlation for Jitsu wa Watashi wa is pretty terrible. If it's as good as you guys say it is I guess I'll have to search for some decent raws.

It's been a long time since I've read a manga, and I've been browsing what everyone been posting. Really excellent suggestions. I started browsing the kissmanga site that everyone was linking too. And I found this. http://kissmanga.com/Manga/Monster-Musume-no-Iru-Nichijou I think this counts as Absurd.

Yeah, it is funny here and there. If you're not particularly bothered by fanservice, its readable at least.

Ecchi manga can end up being good comedies. Sex is funny. It has good jokes, at least.

Thank you for taking the time to actually read it, I will admit the few mangas that I've ever bought were harem style (love hina, tenchi muyo). So that might be why I liked this one.

I'm at the point they met the centaur girl and the character dynamics are really amusing.

Yeah, so long as you can get over the fanservice, it's a lot of fun. Gotta wonder if the government is actually making up for the massive costs they're laying on him (beyond just endlessly expanding his house).

mrhotdogvendor posted:holy poo poo every chapter I read, I cant stop thinking of poo poo like that, or the fact that the snake lady has to weigh like 800lbs? Well, the empty eyes thing is typically shorthand for comedic expressions, so having them on him permanently kind of contributes to the light-heartedness of the whole thing. After all, the default is silly rather than serious. And her weight does get mentioned at least a bit, so you've got that to look forward to.

I've never read the series but I know the people doing it put a lot of love into their editing. I read Jitsu wa Watashi wa up to chapter 25 and it's pretty decent. Kinda surprised there are a lot more chapters out than what's scanlated (I saw up to chapter 57, dunno if that's current in Japan). Man, though, the mangaka's eyes keep getting bigger and bigger while the faces themselves don't change. It's kinda like a throwback to the 90s. Dunno if I like it enough to buy it and find out what happens next, but it's certainly amusing enough.

So I was kinda bored these past two days and wanted something new to read so I binged through some of the more recommended stuff in here, like Angel Densetsu, Tonari no Seki-kun, Jitsu wa Watashi wa, Sumire, all of which were really good... and I just finished Onani Master Kurosawa. Oh god that was so good. ![]()

Yeah, it's hard to believe it's by the same guy as Claymore, and (in my opinion) he's way better at comedy than he is the more action-oriented, serious plot of Claymore. Like you said, the comedic timing is just great. I hope his next series is another comedy.
