That manga almost belongs in the Shoujo & Romance thread at this point. What a nice find it's been.

Gosh, do you think discussion should be moved over there instead, then? :ohdear:

-- Additionally, I kind of like that thing that Shiragami's always doing with her hand over her mouth, it's kind of a funny quirk.

Well it doesn't really matter, I just like that that portion is getting a lot of attention as well as the absurd and surreal stuff. Might as well keep it where it first got noticed for now I guess?

Yeah, that's true, though there's no reason why we can't plug it there too!

Man the scanlation for Jitsu wa Watashi wa is pretty terrible. If it's as good as you guys say it is I guess I'll have to search for some decent raws.

It's been a long time since I've read a manga, and I've been browsing what everyone been posting. Really excellent suggestions. I started browsing the kissmanga site that everyone was linking too.

And I found this.

I'm only a few chapters in and despite the fanservice I think is a pretty good manga, the protagonist is a decent guy, the lamia girl is adorable with her earnestness to learn more about the human society and the coordinator is a really amusing jerk.

EDIT: Is also licensed by Seven-Seas Entertainment, weird.

Thank you for taking the time to actually read it, I will admit the few mangas that I've ever bought were harem style (love hina, tenchi muyo). So that might be why I liked this one.

Yep, and to be honest I'm having a blast because the protagonist isn't a spineless pushover as is usual in the genre. I'm at the point they met the centaur girl and the character dynamics are really amusing.

holy poo poo every chapter I read, I cant stop thinking of poo poo like that, or the fact that the snake lady has to weigh like 800lbs?

or the fact that main dude's eyes are always hollow/empty except when he's being serious? Can someone explain that? Am i missing something?

drat you're right about the MC's eyes I didn't noticed :haw:

It seems that the series is partially influenced by the fans through polls on the author's Pixv page so maybe that's why the MC doesn't have a definitive aspect (he doesn't even have a name after all).

Well, the empty eyes thing is typically shorthand for comedic expressions, so having them on him permanently kind of contributes to the light-heartedness of the whole thing. After all, the default is silly rather than serious.

And her weight does get mentioned at least a bit, so you've got that to look forward to.

I've never read the series but I know the people doing it put a lot of love into their editing.

I read Jitsu wa Watashi wa up to chapter 25 and it's pretty decent. Kinda surprised there are a lot more chapters out than what's scanlated (I saw up to chapter 57, dunno if that's current in Japan). Man, though, the mangaka's eyes keep getting bigger and bigger while the faces themselves don't change. It's kinda like a throwback to the 90s. Dunno if I like it enough to buy it and find out what happens next, but it's certainly amusing enough.

So I was kinda bored these past two days and wanted something new to read so I binged through some of the more recommended stuff in here, like Angel Densetsu, Tonari no Seki-kun, Jitsu wa Watashi wa, Sumire, all of which were really good... and I just finished Onani Master Kurosawa.

Oh god that was so good. :qq:

no, but I just googled it. I probably would have enjoyed it when I was in high school, since I went to an all guy private high school. :henget:

Which isnt as bad as the all guy high school that also had a dormitory and students were required to stay until the weekends.

P.S. So I read a little more of it, its interesting.

P.P.S. I got to the second chapter page 30 and my body refused to press the button to go to the next page.

Yeah, it's hard to believe it's by the same guy as Claymore, and (in my opinion) he's way better at comedy than he is the more action-oriented, serious plot of Claymore. Like you said, the comedic timing is just great. I hope his next series is another comedy.
