This isn't far off from how I imagine stands might move around their users in something more realistic. Maybe even just kind of amble behind them sometimes like a distracted pet when not being unsummoned or fighting. That and the trademark Araki stand/user hip-grinding. Which I guess is a bit like massaging your ego, since stands are just a part of their users.
