Nimona then. Nimona now. I totally forgot that they have a king and I am now very worried about him.

For some reason I keep getting distracted by Goldenloin and Blackheart holding hands and clinging to eachother because it's so loving cute and at some point someone put the idea in my head that they have a thing for eachother and I can't unsee it.

I'm pretty sure that's intentional subtext that's rapidly becoming text.

I seem to recall that was confirmed elsewhere through some statement by the creator.

Dead Winter is getting too scary. Can things just go back to fighting zombies now?

Speaking of Dead Winter, the creator of the comic has started developing a beat-em-up game based on the series. Allison has posted a few updates to her tumblr including a sample attack animation and a video from her programmer outlining the most basic elements of the game. ![]() Get Hype!!

Does anyone remember the one comic with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy in a realistic modern setting where they're treated as real people having to deal with the problems of being celebrities and stuff? It was super good, but I've forgotten the title of it.

In Bad Machinery, the boys are making good decisions. This mystery is a lot less supernatural than previous ones, which is interesting. Though I think Tackleford's residents are weird enough on their own.

Is there even a mystery yet? We've mostly just been introduced to the mods and the French girls.

There's a precedent for them taking a while to get to it. Think the pencil at the faire. I'm sure we'll get something bizzare.

So I really hope that KSBD is setting up a band of three adventure with the clueless human with world shattering power, the angel with world shattering power who talks too much, and the smartass demon.

Anyone here know about Apothecia? http://apotheciacomic.tumblr.com/ Found out about it via Bogleech, who described it as "a rad comic about a little girl who has a trapped alien criminal". ![]() (page 1) It's pretty new (started March 31, only 11 pages), so I have no clue where the story is going, but the art looks great and it's got one hell of a plot.

Whoops, I was using "mystery" when I mean to say "case" since each storyline is "The case of the...". But yeah, this one is a slow burn. That's the curse of long-form webcomics, though - John Allison is a pro at keeping a frequent and consistent schedule, and it still can seem like ages when you're not binging it after it's done or reading the published book.

The only thing I don't like about Poppy is the pacing, it feels like its taking forever for the story to go anywhere.
