Tim Sylvia is the greatest mixed martial artist who, by all rights, shouldn't have been a mixed martial artist. He's the prototype Travis Browne was built on.

I have a friend who's adamant that HiP show is terrible because it harms MMA's ability to be taken seriously. My counter-argument is that it's really loving cool and who gives a gently caress?

XFL was the same sport as the NFL with some specific rule changes. HiP show is a goofy game show relative of MMA. I'm not seeing your point.

HiP Show can't possibly rack up the same kind of damage as having Tito and Rampage running around as free radicals in a constant state of creating and destroying ppv's, female fighters, unborn children, porno marriages, contract terms and their own backs.

I watched one game when it was on nearly 15 years ago. Still it took place on a field, and not a crazy obstacle course or something. This is why the comparison is odd.

Why am I arguing this? I'm not the one who was against HiP show.

Manhoef managed to fight a week after surgery to remove blood from his lungs so this isn't exactly new territory for him.

Also:

quote:

"This has really been a problem because if I do too much on the ground, I miss my hard training for the Glory tournament," Manhoef told MMAFighting.com. "It was very hard. My weight cut was from (224 pounds) and I dropped (to 170). It was hard, but this is my job and what we do."

I can't wait for the blurry youtube video of the fight that will come out late july.

Here's Manhoef-Cyborg I for people who have watched it less than ten times:
