i just started playing the first dark souls last weekend i keep getting pounded in to the dirt by the asylum demon is dark souls the type of video game where you struggle a lot and fight the same enemy 50 times but the struggle makes the victory all the sweeter? or am i just really bad at video games?

i didn't run past him the first few times i died but then i googled for it to learn that weird old tip i ran past the second time but now i got lost and some of the doors are locked and i can't find my way back to the boss (i only tried for a few minutes though and i haven't played it since then) but it's good to know that it improves (sort of)
