To actually make the meat halal means not stunning the animals which is banned as being cruel in a lot of places. If it actually had been a group of muslims that protested this, odds are they would be the type to still find the standard roast beef harram as well. From reading further articles only 2 stores actually cut pork, which is what I thought a whole bunch were doing, which would have been a nice case of business stupidty.
