I don't remember the exact rules that govern it, but a gold trophy will sometimes appear on the board. Collect the trophy and you will either unlock a new class or level up your current class.

Given the prevalence of FB login in iOS games, this might be of interest: FB announced "Anonymous Login", which will let people use FB to avoid account creation, but not share any information with the app or site. It's not rolled out to all developers, but I hope we'll see it widely used.

This is a callout post to eeen on Tiny Tower Vegas.

Marsh Bros., care to give some insight this? Other than gambling away tokens, whats it got on top of the original Tiny Tower?

Also, EA's Pogo.com has a game that is called "Spooky Slots". I'm not sure if they own a trademark on that name and if you could get in troubles.

You're managing/building a hotel casino tower. Differences from TT are the following:
- Hotel floors instead of Apartment floors, guests stay for a short amount of time, paying on checkout.
- Job applicants come into your lobby, rather than hiring out of your apartment floors.
- Every Casino floor type has mini games you can play to win bux (costing chips to play).
- All tips (elevator, fully stocked, etc) are chips.
- Certain floors contain comical vegas characters that get unlocked and provide special missions (similar to the TDS mission system).
- Customizable roofs and elevators (independent of elevator speed).
- Some social aspect we haven't nailed down yet (playing games in friends towers, or maybe a global jackpot?).

I finally got some time to play wayward souls. And I managed to beat the first dungeon with a warrior and about 400-600 gold worth of upgrades. So here are some of my thoughts.

The health potions upgrade is near worthless. It might be used once every 4-5 games or so.

The recover more hp on stairs is the best upgrade. It will win you games.

The critical and more axes upgrades are pretty meh. With 3% critical I got exactly one critical on an enemy (and dozens on chest :argh:). And maybe I'm just a newbie but axes were never really worth it. Axes couldn't kill anything and it was easier to dodge attacks then charge enemies.

I really disliked the warrior weapon upgrades. They slowed the mobility of the charge attack and make it take more energy to use. This game has so many projectiles that slowing myself nearly killed me.

Enough complaining though because this game is awesome. Action packed with great controls are a rarity on the iOS. And pixel graphics that look great are also rare. Glad I could support you (but give me my free hat!) .

Ah yeah, it just appears to be real slow, I've only unlocked 2 classes in 12 games.

Maybe the +crit gear is what you choose to handicap yourself for more of a challenge? I dunno, even on the rogue it just seems like a waste because a % increase of poo poo is only slightly better poo poo.

But I will say that although the health potion upgrades are barely ever used since they're so rare and even maxed out it gives you maybe half as much health as you recover at the stairs, godDAMN are you grateful for the times you actually have one on hand. Considering the alternative is "no healing at all yer just straight up hosed," even that piddly little bit is like a godsend when you're down to just a sliver of health left. I dunno why but I like that. Still, yeah, upgrade those last.

Most are terrible or feel awful. You could try Tactical Warrior or LostStar Tactics, which are pretty solid.

So when I go to 'Restore purchase' on Republique it says nothing then when I go to the season pass bit it claims it's downloading it and won't charge me again then it promptly asks me to give them another £10-something for it.
I decline and it then does nothing at all.
Am I supposed to say yes to the charge and just not get charged or what?

These guys are just brilliant at this.

I'd say there's at least a couple handicaps per class. Take the Warrior's Ratblade, for example. You lose that awesome range that would let you take out 2-4 enemies at a time for... a slightly faster swing and an increase to critical hit chance that I've personally never noticed.
It's playstyle dependent. I've had much more success with the ratblade than with slower, longer-reach weapons. It's still the only weapon I've beaten the first boss with as a warrior. Extra hits are always good.

The bigass axe carried me through the first boss. I was super disappointed when I found that I didn't get to carry it into the next area, because it kicks serious rear end.

What's interesting is how their Kickstarter has created this tribe mentality that I'm not sure I've ever really seen before when it comes to the crazy poo poo people are willing to put up with. The tiniest thing will set TouchArcade commenters off on these long-winded rants that are often so crazy and over the top that you're hoping they're trolling. Episode 2 release IAP was hosed up, and this was the response:

How about an update to all of them and make Tiny Tycoon. You start up Tiny Trucks, deliver something to an airport, start up Pocket Planes and fly a plane somewhere in the world, then Tiny Trucks again to deliver it to a train station and swap to Pocket Trains to deliver it over land to a city. Back to Tiny Trucks to deliver it to Tiny Tower so you can restock a floor.
