This is the magical girl Elodie playthrough, so burn the (non)witch! The peasants are watching, so let's give 'em a fireworks show. Given the fact that Elodie was the last person who Briony and Corisande spoke to before they ran off to a dangerous forest from which no one has ever returned, I bet Kevan is blaming Elodie for the deaths of his sister and niece. That's assuming they died, which seems likely since it's a well-known forest of certain death.
