The source material's characters aren't very complex; the set pieces can be incredible but even *I* don't feel intimidated by drawing Rick or Morty. Plus this show is simply so good that it makes people feel the way early man did when he saw an auroch or a saber-toothed tiger.

Welcome to the halcyon days of this thread, in the time before everyone decided this show used to be a lot better and sucks now. That will start almost exactly after the season 2 premiere. But for now we universally love the show. In fact, the whole internet is bonkers for this show in a way I'm not sure I've seen before. I have yet to see anything but positive reviews.

I love all of the art and avatars this show is spawning. It seems, even though the first season run is over, people are still discovering this show. I hope that builds through the break, it'd be neat to see the audience have major growth while the show isn't even on the air. I was really surprised to see the commercial art the network did in NYC someone posted a few pages ago. My friend first turned my on to the show midway through the season, on youtube, and I thought it was some clever, underground deal. I went full  when I found out it was a "real" show with a timeslot.

I just started watching the show and I'm loving it. Does anyone else think that a Ricksty Minutes style episode should be a reoccurring thing? Something like Treehouse of Horror for the Simpsons, one a season? I ask because I don't think I've laughed more at an episode of TV this year.

I'd prefer that they used it the way they did in "Something Ricked This Way Comes" where you can see "Ball Fondlers" is on the TV when Summer comes in crying. You know, the TV is on in the background, but your attention is focused on the characters talking. However, when you watch the background TV, you realize it's showing "Tall Tyrion Game of Thrones," "Detective Babylegs" or some kind of alien insect clown porn.

The single funniest moment in the show for me was that slug that they ride down the stairs in the giant world. When he coughs and says "buckle up!!" It slays me. I find that incredibly funny for some reason.
