But if your introduction to him is from Young Avengers, you probably want to read Marvel Boy.

I read Marvel Boy over the long cold winter, and I still stand by the fact that that is the best villain design ever. My favorite Iron Man suit, in a trench coat. Nothing says "do not mess with me" like that.

Also, Midas exposed himself to cosmic rays to try and get powers like the Fantastic Four. He also raised his daughter to believe she was horribly disfigured when she only had a scar on her cheek. Marvel Boy had a good young vs old metaphor that permeated his millenial work like New X-Men.

Nick Fury is indestructible. If they do kill him off in this crossover, it would be something like the fifth time and it will turn out to have been an LMD the next time somebody wants to use Old Nick for something. Frankly, I am upset they have not taken this opportunity for many, many father-son Fury adventures.

Nick Fury has been dead for a decade it's all just LMDs with his brain pattern.

Didn't Fury burn off the last of the Infinity Formula in his system during his last appearance? Or it was...amplified or something, I don't know, I just remember there was a issue about his Infinity Formula.

Loki isn't a blood relation of Odin, and while I don't know a ton about Norse mythology, I know that among the Greek gods, incest wasn't much of a taboo. I do know that in Norse mythology Loki had sex with a magic horse and Loki then gave birth to Odin's favorite six legged horse as a result, so millenia estranged sister doesn't seem that weird.

Original Sin reads like a detective comic but the team they've put together is the weirdest mis-match of heroes ever. It wasn't very exciting, I'll reserve judgement until the end.

On the last page, that's definitely the Orb with a hood on. I'm guessing the redhead is Oubliette in a less dominatrix-like outfit. We know that Dr. Midas is also a part of this, which explains the use of the Mindless Ones. At the end of the Marvel Boy miniseries, Midas was stranded in their dimension, cornered by a bunch of Mindless Ones and desperately wondered how it was possible to twist this to his advantage. I guess the real story is that they've been working in conjunction with a hero, which we'll find out towards the end.
