I'm relaxed about Thursday, this time round we are very much the underdogs and we aren't playing out main rivals. No matter what happens it won't be as bad as last year, and the fallout won't be so lovely.

All of our out of contract players have been released. If anyone fancies Jobi McAnuff, Mikele Leigertwood, Kaspars Gorkss or Stuart Taylor you can find them scanning the jobs board at Tesco. Wayne Bridge has retired because he only played eleven times for us this season because he suffered from Michael Owen knee syndrome. Jake Taylor and Michael Hector are in discussions atm.

Bizarrely Wayne Bridge and Jobi are currently trending on Twitter in the UK.

The academy players who've signed full time are:

Aaron Kuhl, Jack Stacey, Liam Kelly, Dominic Hyam, Craig Tanner, Niall Keown, Pierce Sweeney, Tariqe Fosu and Jake Cooper. It's pretty clear where most of our 1st team will come from next season and any rumours of players coming to us should probably be ignored.

It's a great opportunity for those young players, I hope they do well.

Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has less than five weeks to kill off a winding-up petition served on the club by David Haigh’s Sport Capital company.

A judge in London is due to consider the petition and rule on Sport Capital’s claim against Leeds at a hearing on June 9, documents seen by the Yorkshire Evening Post show.

Sport Capital – a firm for which Haigh, United’s former managing director, is listed as the sole director – called in a loan of almost £1m around the time of Cellino’s takeover last month.

A statutory demand for more than £957,000 gave Leeds and their Italian owner 21 days to repay the debt, a deadline which United failed to meet.

Dog Suicide Bridge BBQ Team 2k10
Word has come out that Reading are in such a poor situation that we can't offer new contracts to anyone and since Jan have been encouraging the bigger named/better paid players to look for transfers, despite them being vocal about wanting to stay.

Royston spoke out last week about how he was told to stay away in Jan and find a new club, now it transpires Danny Williams was told similar. Both joined the club 6 months before being told that. No wonder our form has been so poo poo all season despite having a decent squad.

Yeah he was Brighton's only bright spot, I thought.

That game was pretty entertaining really, high intensity throughout.

Be honest, it'll be much more fun to have local derbies with us and Brentford in a league where we can actually compete, instead of being in the PL.
Apart from the whole financial situation you're in that is.

I hope QPR lose because England's second league containing a team with a bigger wage bill than multiple CL teams from Germany and Spain is just glorious and proves the Prem is the best in the world (for money).
