Right now we are seeing what happens when you don't constantly keep your game fresh. You can be a top 90% player and not play for a while and you're game goes out the window.

As well as instantly regretting not making Sentinel a 4, and banning Vergil for next time. I have to say, I like the idea he has, but that's mainly because I want to see more people play Thor, Spider-Man, Chun-Li, stuff like that. The amount of people trying to cram Hsien-Ko into their gameplay and being terrible at it were hilarious though.

Sinsation 2009, never forget. Justin was there too, I think that was the first (and last, who knew) time Gootecks ever beat him in tournament. Gootecks had strong results during arcade too but he definitely peaked in early Vanilla right as he turned into a full-fledged content creation demon. Watch the match videos from '08-'09 if you want a good laugh, any marginally competent online player in 2014 looks like a god compared to the top players back then. SF4 has come a loooong way.
