Please draft Michael Sam, Cincy. It wouldn't make sense but it will make me feel like less of a piece of poo poo.

I can recall being broke with some friends in Tennessee and deciding to have a party and being able to afford only two-fifths of a $1.75 bourbon called Two Natural, whose label showed dice coming up 5 and 2. Its taste was memorable. The psychological effect was also notable.

I don't understand the quickness that people have to go "WELL, ACTUALLY" in situations like this. no one is saying that they're just saying there was other stuff involved that would have caused him to drop a lot either way.

And no one is excited about it or bringing it up unprovoked just so they can gloat about how that there queer is too slow to play in the NFL. Someone was like "explain why he's dropping" so that's what people are doing.

Seriously, we're looking at a league where even players who already have jobs--some of them presumably pretty good at them--are afraid to come out because of the effect it could have on their careers. The idea that homophobia would have nothing to do with a player going undrafted in a league like that is, frankly, ludicrous. It's obviously not the only reason he hasn't been drafted, and I don't think there's anything wrong with saying "Hey, the reason the SEC DPOY isn't drafted yet is complicated," but most of these comments are coming closer to "The reason he's undrafted has nothing to do with his coming-out," which is blatant bullshit. You can't divorce this from his coming-out.

I really just think it's been a factor in people noticing the fall. Several other players in this draft have fallen farther and nobody is talking about them at all.

Tiny Richardson is still on the board right? I remember people thinking he would be one of the first LTs taken (although probably a lot earlier than when Sam started dropping).

We're officially in the territory that I'm worried Sam won't be taken now by the way, which sucks because if one of the other Mizzou guys goes I won't be able to be properly happy about it.
