I love those cars, been keeping an eye out for the right one. That's even an XL, so it's got bucket seats! Sweet. Since it's rusty and has a seized motor, you don't even have to feel bad for cutting it up to make it awesome! Do itttt.

TWSS posted:How would an FWD with a welded diff handle outside of rocketing in straight lines? 'handle' is out of the question. E: ^well that kind of puts a damper on the fun, one wheel peels errywhere I guess. TWSS posted:How would an FWD with a welded diff handle outside of rocketing in straight lines? Center diff is welded to convert it to fwd since he used an awd trans. Front diff is a limited slip. Similar Fuckery is done with Subaru's to convert them to rwd. Was really hoping it had an awd conversation, but as is it would seem like a fun hooning car, useless for everything else I suppose, but would definitely make a few people scratch their heads and think "WTF?" Bajaha posted:E: ^well that kind of puts a damper on the fun, one wheel peels errywhere I guess. well with a Phantom if you re-spring and/or shim the hell out of it it works reasonably well (2 wheel burnouts) but it's tricky to get one set up to give you 'real LSD' performance without either exploding or severely compromising the ability to turn. Every high-power FWD should have a helical/Torsen LSD though it just makes so much more sense, especially given that an OBX (with the non-lovely belleville washer upgrade, which turns them from a time bomb into a decent diff) is only a couple hundred more than a Phantom.
