Try this one by him, it's a lot easier to handle than his most recent track:

Also I was thinking about posting his soundcloud in the james ferraro thread instead, if you don't get his schtick I can see how this would seem bland. His tunes don't have the same "weight" to them as most of the tracks in that thread tho.

Saw Pretty Lights live tonight for the first time. Goddamnit, that ruled. He had a whole live band with him, and since this show was in New Orleans, they had an entire brass band join them on stage for a couple songs, and there was a different brass band that opened for him. It was like an almost 2 and a half hour straight dance party from the time he started playing. From what I could see, the crowd looked kind of dead aside from me and the people immediately next to me, but whatever, the band was incredible. This was probably an extra special show since he recorded most of A Color Map Of The Sun here in New Orleans, but still, if you have the chance to see them, you should take it. Tickets were a little on the pricy side, but well worth it. I feel like I got my money's worth and then some. That was a hell of an experience.

Ugh, I've got this sample stuck in my head and I can't remember the track for the life of me... The line I remember goes "through all my trials and tribulations, through all my", spoken by a deep male voice similar to the one on this track, similar effects on the voice, too:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia906iynI-U

The track is pretty nice as well.

Finally saw Sven Väth on the weekend. I don't really follow him as an artist at all, but he's just this huge icon or perhaps rather brand... enjoyable set, but nothing crazy. Loco Dice afterwards was :catdrugs:

My first impression was pretty poor, but I'm warming to the new style. 1:13 is the only track I really like, mostly due to it's similarities to 88:88. Is it just me, or is this way too distorted? Any loud part sounds like total garbage. I'm curious to see how the vinyl sounds at those parts - hopefully better.

For those that might be interested, Danger has a new competition similar to the one four years back. In short: take 30 seconds of a movie/game/show and sync up one of the tracks from his new EP to be a new soundtrack. I made one today using Akira:

For those who haven't heard it, it will give you an idea the direction the EP has gone to the more cinematic (which almost feels out of place in this thread).

I feel like I need to give a shoutout to our very own Jonathan Kane (formerly Shreddie Mercury) for his new remix of "Sun and Moon" by Above and Beyond. The groove is really on point in this track and is a bit different than his other stuff.

https://soundcloud.com/jonathankanemusic/above-beyond-sun-moon-jonathan-kane-bootleg

Porter Robinson seems to have gone a very different direction than the electro/complextro he is mostly known for with this latest track. The beat is slowed down a bit and the melody is quite nice. Not sure how I feel about the vocal edits at the beginning but I really enjoyed this track.

https://soundcloud.com/porter-robinson/sad-machine

And I just cannot get enough of Disclosure. Seeing them live at Coachella was pretty amazing, they put on a hell of a performance. And that isn't even taking into account that Mary J. Blige and Sam Smith came on stage. Here is a new track by them that is pretty cool.

Pirate Soundsystem - Trip II London

These guys though, were the guys who actually got me into electronic music, somehow. I guess being in Sydney the majority of electronic music was around whatever top-40s are on at the time, so it was a bit of a 180° thing for me that got me searching.

Rampue - Turn Around
