Look, I'm just studying cartooning and design now - so I'm hoping that someone can come in and do a more detailed analysis. But I wondered why Equestria Girls provoked such a strong reaction from the fandom - despite the fact that all we've seen are a couple of character designs. Well... the thing about animation is that you can tell a lot about a character from their character design. Especially if the character is human. In just about any beginner textbook on illustration or cartooning, the size of a human being is measured in "heads" - that is, an average character's height is going to be about 6.5 (for women) to 7 times the size of their head. That's for normal proportion. Something doesn't seem quite right yet though?

One is ethically obligated not to steal Hitler's Wallet in this scenario. First, the Kantian view would hold that since stealing a wallet could not be made a universal law, it certainly cannot be held to be a catagorical imperative. However; utilitiarianism is a bit more fuzzy. Certainly a hedonist would steal the wallet - to piss off Hitler for an evening would give you shadenfreude. But a utilitarian would have to weigh Hitler's feelings into the argument. Hitler, himself, is a person, and he would be put out. In order for this to be ethically permissible under a utilitarian viewpoint, one would have to gain more joy, relatively speaking, than Hitler would have to feel discomfort, to create a net good. To the effect that millions or billions would feel joy should it be known that Hitler's wallet was stolen is mitigated by two factors. First, since there is no important information in the wallet, it will be difficult to prove that it indeed is Hitler's wallet. Second, One would have to be caught in the act in order to prove that indeed the theft was of Hitler's wallet; which would undoubtedly result in A) one getting shot, and B) Hitler getting his 40RM back. So, though the idea of stealing of the wallet of Hitler is something that many would find joy in, it would be practically impossible to engage that joy in others. There is one final consideration. It is 1933. I am in Berlin, Germany. the Großes Schauspielhous, as designed by Hans Poelzig likely still stands. The Frankfurt School during it's golden age is less than 6 hours away by motorcar or 8 hours away by train. Paul von Hindenburg & the Weimar Culture are both in their last gasps but they have still not yet completely passed. Why, for the love of all that is good, would I want to spend my unique oppertunity hanging around boring old Hitler?

When Brian Boyko was in the alps, Fighting grizzly bears, He used his "magical fire" breath, And saved the maidens fair. So what would Brian Boyko do If he were here today, I'm sure he'd gently caress a horse or two, That's what Brian Boyko'd do.
