I'll be in Seoul next week and have a couple days (28th, 30th) when I don't have anything planned. Would any Seoul goons like to meet up?

^^^^Just go to any hospital pretty much...especially if it's urgent. Mine is at Seoul Medical Centre Bonghwasan. She's the only one there. She sent a bunch of my case stuff to her old Prof at UCLA because she wasn't confident in her ability with white skin which I thought was a nice touch.

Goons will almost certainly be out and about *somewhere* on the 30th and we will generally show you an above average time compared to what you could expect from goons in other places. Do you have a smartphone or some kind of wifi device? Install Kakaotalk, set your ID to searchable, and post your ID. We will add you to the groupchat which is the best/worst way to know what's going on.

Is...there a considerable difference between white skin and non-white skin?

And if I recall correctly, most of the Koreans I worked with were considerably whiter than I, due to the whole "EEW SUN" stigma...and this was even in the deep dirty south of Jeonnam. And I'm Dutch-Canadian.

Don't go to Wooskin near 숙대입구역. I read good reviews online but my experience there was awful. Doctors that didn't listen and wanted to prescribe expensive and unnecessary bullshit.

Ya I think I'm gonna go to Teng Teng in Sinsa. Seems like that place will get the job done.

I've had good experience with the Korea University Hospital. They even had volunteers to help people with the non-english-speaking staff. The doctors did speak english well enough, though.

My problem with the big hospitals is their lack of evening/weekend hours.

Skin cancer is rare in Korea and of a different type (between fingers/toes) than is common with caucasians.

Seoul and Yonsei both have weekend hours and you can often see specialists on weekends too. You pay a premium for it though. Maybe 23-30k for an appointment instead of 8-15k.

Trip report from the dermatologist at Teng Teng skin clinic in Sinsa, Seoul. Consultation was 10k, very nice office space. Doctor spoke perfect English. He diagnosed my Poison Oak (I thought it was Shingles, thanks Web MD) in about 5 second. After all the medication/consultation fee was taken care of the final bill for everything was 50k. Never asked for health insurance or ARC card or anything. Just an Address/phone #. Would Highly recommend.

I don't really consider people freaking out because they're not being paid a meltdown. I think any worker in any business would react harshly to not being payed the amount guaranteed in their contract.

Bank messed up my name when it gave me a card. Put my middle name as my first name, my last as my middle, and my first as my last. No clue how it happened, since it's properly positioned on my ARC. I want to get it fixed, but not before the next paycheck, in case that messes with direct deposit.

WEEK 1 - RETIRED
Let me get more info before I say what happened. I think it TECHNICALLY isn't a human rights issue but from what I've seen it's more or less the same thing in that it's a matter of timeframe or something. It's definitely ruining a life though. Thanks for the heads up guys.

About Gmarket, one trick I do is just go on English gmarket and use paypal to pay for things. That is another hassle I suppose but it works fine for me and a lot of sellers accept it.

Gmail creates a dummy forwarding account for you, any anyone can send money from any account to pay off your gmarket order. So, when you choose to pay select Sending Money > Private account (or by paypal, phone, or foreign credit card), then just walk to the nearest ATM and send the cost to that account.

I've seen Xbox controllers in every big department store electronics section, but I'm not sure they'll have the wired ones you'll need. Regular wireless ones won't work on PC.

Well this was about 6 months ago, while I was still in Korea, and it may have changed a lot but the place was near where the walkway that connects to the main shopping centre comes out. It's across the road from the main techno mart and was a little underground corridor that seemed to be mostly games and accessories. I think that the shop I bought it from was at the stairs as you go in on the right. (unless it's changed, which is very possible)
