These threads have always been more of a chat room for people who play battlefield than an actual discussion of battlefield. Just look at the hot dog chat we had. Amongst the myriad of other off topic discussions.

So after 15 tries, I only managed to get about 5 titan kills with a nuclear titanbomb. Not really worth it when you consider your team is then down a titan for the other rounds when your premature explision nets you 0 titan kills. http://1drv.ms/1gTlTgd This is my best one. Really unless the other team is trapped in a corner, or completely dumb, you're never going to get close enough to take them out. There's too much time for them to get away, and it's too easy to run into flankers. So, fun to try, but should only be used for the hilarity option. Also, I just noticed that when you eject, your HUD is shown to be an actual HUD on your titan's viewing screen. Nice attention to detail.

Any of you guys have any advice for The Show 2014? I picked it up and the game looks great, but I just can't hit to save my life. I'm about "average" on regular fastballs, but anything offspeed just wrecks me. I know that for a realistic game you're only probably supposed to hit .300-.400 or so, but I can't even score runs because it's almost entirely random when I lay off if the pitch is a fastball or something else. I'm decent at other sports games so I don't think it's that, and maybe I just need to adapt more, but it sucks repeatedly playing games and not doing poo poo.

Yeah that sounds fun and I've already forgot what all the buttons do so it'll be even better. I'm pretty sure I won't hold circle to sprint this time though. We should try all using the grenade launcher to see if maybe with three it stops being terrible.

Same situation but no runners on base, he's more likely to try to get you to chase a slider. Handedness also helps, as will practice. You'll get better.

I go 19-1 with 100+ points in attrition and my team barely wins. Another thing, I always knew the 360 was behind the Bone in terms of patches, but apparently we're way behind because we just got update 2 today. June can't come soon enough. hahaha, Mail you've ever used quad rocket with rapid fire? It's one of those things where it's so bad it's good. Actually, it has pretty good damage if you can manage to get all the rockets to hit, and you can do some range fighting with it too, atleast much more than the standard quads. edit: yeah, I'll definitely get bf4. I think part of the reason why I don't like it is due to the fact that it's really poorly designed for the 360. I'm sure I'll like it way more for the Bone. Also because it had the best versions of Rush, which works perfectly fine with 32 players, and was insane as hell. Conquest did well on it's perfectly scaled maps too.

I know in general about some of the strategy stuff like you mention. I'm just also not quite sure how much of that the computer (or a human opponent, assuming I ever get adequate enough to try online) actually takes into account. Also it seems I almost always start down in the pitch count since I'm typically just guessing on the first pitch. Then if you get a shaky strike call or foul off a pitch, it's 0-2 and I feel like I'm pretty much doomed. I've even gone into batting practice but I get wrecked just as much there. I mean .250 would be an improvement but I've played about 4-5 games and haven't even scored 1 run. It gets lame always losing 1-0 or 2-0 (my pitching at least keeps games close) with like 15 Ks

I've had better luck guessing pitch location rather than type. I've only played it a bit and wasn't sure what to expect as I haven't played a baseball game in yonks. Turns out it's waaay more fun than I expected. I played an exhibition game and then decided to do the create a player mode, made a goofy pitcher named Big Dog Dick (which makes me laugh every single time it's announced) and got him signed with the Cubs, currently playing AA ball. I pitched a complete game shutout on my first outing, but when your pitches are knuckle, screw, and fork, that's what happens I guess. I find pitching way more fun than batting, so the couple of times a game that he's up to bat is fine for me.

There are adjustments you can make to the batting interface, too. You may find it helpful to use classic mode which, f you guess the pitch and location correctly, will show you exactly where that pitch will be instead of just lighting up the zone. It's much easier, and will definitely help you identify balls and strikes better. I've found that the ai is really good at pitching as I'd expect most times. The strategy I use is always to guess fastball if possible before I have two strikes. Once I have two strikes, I'll start looking for strikeout pitches instead of fastballs in the zone. Practice and situational awareness are the two things id say are most important.
