Van Helsing 2 releases on steam in 6 hrs, and Distant Worlds Universe releases on steam tomorrow. I guess apartment hunting can wait for another week or two. Distant Worlds is a fantastic 4x space game. The drawbacks to the game are it's price + how the expansion packs are REQUIRED for non-broken gameplay. Mods exist and help flesh out the game. You never directly control units in Distant Worlds, so people who prefer that gameplay should stick with SotS1, Sins of a Solar Empire, Stardrive, or Nexus: Jupiter Incident. What you can do is pretty much open to you. Automation allows your designated civilization to run itself, and you can set your management level: automated/only get pinged on high-level decisions, partial management mode, or gently caress it-i-wanna-manage-everything mode. Time dilation, multiple alien races, the whole civilization automation option, and a lot of other features make the game really absorbing & fun to play. Van Helsing 2 has been out for 23 hrs, and the devs are crushing bugs like mad. It's worth checking out...it feels tighter than torchlight 2. Distant Worlds Universe released today as well, and getting both the Steam & matrix games versions is way too complicated. matrix games is basically  levels of unneeded overwork to buy anything/register anything/use their forums.

My only gripes with wolfenstein so far are that you have to manually pick up ammo so it kind of slows the pace of the game. And maybe because I'm too early in but some of the mini boss battles last a little too long. Otherwise it's great.

That + the god drat burger king kids club resistance youre teamed up with just seems lame and stupid and going around on scavenger hunts around the hideout is lame as hell as well if they had just made it 100% nazi murdering instead of like 80% it woulda been a lil better imo still a fun shooter tho
