In the original game instead of avatars you have numbers. 2 is the lowest value and only that and fours will spawn. The goal is to combine like tiles until you have one worth 2048.

I've never played that game before and I forgot I was trying to get 2048. I just kept mashing stuff together. On Easter I was with some of my cousins and they kept saying check out this 2048 game, just check it out, and I said nah keep that addictive poo poo to yourself. If only I'd known then...
