He's essentially the same, but with cool metal things for cuffs.

Was already picking Sapphire for the memories, though admittedly yes, the pirates seem like the overall more interesting design for now.

Steven just got even more awesome now though. Its a nice and simple tweak to his design - just opening the jacket and adding sleeve guards (if that's a thing), but drat if he doesn't make it look classy. Also he gets his own, thoughtful pose, I like it.

Edit: I just realised another potential angle to Maxie's redesign. In Emerald, once his plan to control Groudon has gone tits up, he tries stealing rocket fuel from the Mossdeep Space Center to try and make the volcano go boom anyway. Given that, plus the mad science that one would need to drain a volcano, the idea of Maxie in some way being a scientist is... not actually that far removed.

The new Kyogre looks pretty cool too.

I feel it'll probably be more of a Emerald thing where you face both but your game's version are the ones who get to activate their super legendary form. Hence the imbalance.

It could easily be both, really. Groudon has flames and rocks, so it would be thematic for Kyogre to have water and ice flowing.

As a casual player I really wanted to use Aurorus but couldn't see a use for him other than to get oneshot by everything. I'm glad its not just because i'm a baddie. (I'm still a baddie)

Honestly I'm torn between Sceptile and Swampert, Swampert looks amazing but Sceptile seems so out there typing and ability wise I want to use it.

Is anyone here even considering using Blaziken? I'd imagine more people would have if they didn't release his Mega Stone back with X/Y.

Unfortunately, I didn't know that PokeBank doesn't save items at the time, so my Blazikenite has long been erased (yet another reason I want them to stop these annoying temporary promotions and just make real DLC). I'm still going for Mudkip as usual, but the chicken is an option for me.

I'm guessing it's less fake and more someone dressing up their own speculation. It's not meant to be passed of as official, since everyone already knows the actual magazine scans.

I know my Rotom has HP Ice on it so depending on if it's able to survive a hit from Mega-Sceptile it could take a decent chunk off. 4x weak hurts even if the attacker isn't getting STAB.
