this is the same problem 0bama has/had in 2008 and 2012

0bama’s father was kenyan. at birth, this conveyed british citizenship under the ‘by descent’ concept.

0bama’s mother was 18 when he was born. she was ineligible to pass along citizenship as she was not living in the US for 5 yrs after her 14th birthday.

his only ‘solid’ grasp to citizenship at all comes from the claim he was born on the soil in hawaii. this has since been brought into question with a serious lack of credible proof... but many forged documents.

keep in mind, this is just for citizenship. this does not address his natural born citizenship status.

0bama cannot be a NBC as he is also british by decent. like myself.

It's really scary what is happening.

Someone once asked me, after overhearing me call myself a 'conservative', what exactly were 'conservatives' trying to conserve?

I started out by asking him rhetorically - "What do you consider the 'United States' to be?". Did he think it was the geographical area? Was it the people that made up it's Citizenry? What is it exactly that made the United States, "The United States"?

I then explained to him that to 'conservatives' it was the Constitution, the blueprint handed down by the founders, that made up the core of what is "The United States of America", and that is what I'm trying to conserve. The founders were the first, and possibly only, true patriots. They dreamed of something incredible, and they gave us an equally incredible document to try to preserve it.

And now, people who claim to be 'conservative' simply want to ignore parts of the incredible document, the heart of what is America, simply because it is inconvenient. Who's to choose what other parts are to be ignored? Obama wants to ignore the whole thing - if we start doing the same, how are we to stop him?

Would Ted Cruz make an excellent President? YES - I believe he would be the next Reagan. But if we choose to ignore the Constitution in ANY situation, what justification do we have when the Democrats start to confiscate legal guns? How about when they start forcing churches to perform gay marriages, or be shut down for discrimination?

This is a slippery slope, and I'm terrified because of the number of 'conservatives' who seem to want to put a garden hose on it, and slide down head first!

There is a relationship between the two as the Supreme Court has ruled: born citizens can become President or Vice President. Naturalized citizens cannot attain those offices.

Elk v Wilkins, 112 U. S. 94 (1884): “The distinction between citizenship by birth and citizenship by naturalization is clearly marked in the provisions of the constitution, by which ‘no person, except a natural-born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this constitution, shall be eligible to the office of president;’ and ‘the congress shall have power to establish an uniform rule of naturalization.’Const. art. 2, § 1; art. 1, § 8.

This section [of the 14th Amendment] contemplates two sources of citizenship, and two sources only: birth and naturalization. The persons declared to be citizens are “all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof.”

I'm trying to think of 5 progressive talking points you could dress up in Tea Party/anti-Obama clothing.

1. "Extrajudicially murdering U.S. citizens!" <--obv. al-Awlaki/drones reference, but then you have Freepers who think Obama personally shot the Benghazi Four before calling up his Muslim al-Qaeda buddies to have them desecrate the corpse to demoralize resistance against the Caliphate in America.
2. "He's on the side of the takers mooching off the makers!" <--just don't mention that by "takers" you mean "rich Wall Street plutocratic fucks" and by "makers" you mean the American laborer.
3. "Corruption has risen to an all-time high under ZERO's administration!!" <--self-explanatory

...poo poo, I can't think of any more. :(

e: no, I thought of one more

4. "He's allowed radical extremist politicians to strangle the country's economy!" <---again, don't mention that the "radical extremists" are the Tea Party.

I never understand why we need immigration “reform” when we don’t enforce the laws on the books.

I never understand why we are supposed to accept that millions of illegals here are okay, because they are doing work Americans aren’t doing. Why aren’t able bodied people on public assistance, being recruited to do these jobs? Many such jobs, such as janitorial/housekeeping, and farm work, are jobs that unskilled people can do. Why does it make sense to keep people on welfare, then import people from other countries to do the work????

I agree! The trend is frightening. If our “leaders” do not shape up and take a hard line on the illegals, that is, deporting them and making it impossible for them to get a job here (so they deport themselves), then the country is doomed. Speaking as a Hispanic, these illegals have no respect for U.S. law, and probably have very little respect for Mexican law too (though Mexico, these days, is quite lawless to begin with). Why would we want these people in our country who, in one big swoop, can change the political landscape once given the right to vote, and, considering they are all by definition criminals, will most likely vote to increase criminality and the social welfare state?

We Americans must have the right to regulate our borders and to pick and choose who we want in this country. I support legal immigration into this country of the best and brightest minds or hardest workers who will improve our nation. NOT these people who think they are entitled to ignore the law and receive financial assistance!

Lets be honest, if homos like Dan Savage had the chance, would they stone Christians to death?

Answer: yes

Maybe it’s time for the countries over there like the Saudis to get their hands dirty for once and start policing their own neighborhood.

Bomb Mecca and it’s over. Not kidding. That black rock sitting in that shrine down there.

Islam believes that its invincible. It can’t be brought down and never will be.

You take that out, and Islam falls.

Sounds simplistic, but there are few that understand ME Islam at its roots. These aren’t learned, sophisticated people in a religion that withstands fundamental questions about the dogma that underpins it.

In the Carribean, we took on about 300 Haitians to repatriate them back to Haiti back in 1991 or so. Maybe 1992. They started getting rowdy on the forecastle, so one of the BM2s got the ‘Oscar dummy’ we used for man overboard drills (you hoist the ‘oscar’ flag in the mast to signify to all ships you have a M.O.).

He threw it on the deck and started beating and stabbing it.

End of unrest. Period.

People in the developed world take their freedom to openly question religion for granted. It’s not done in most of the world. You buy in, and that’s it.

Liberals want to walk, and conservatives want big houses: survey
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3166838/posts

quote:

Yes, neighbor, but what do YOU think?

Among the many findings of a new Pew Research Center survey is this data about neighborhoods, and how Americans want them to look: more conservatives than liberals want to live in a place where most people share their political views.

The survey found that, among the consistently conservative, 50% believe it’s important to live in a place where most think the way they do about politics. For consistent liberals, it’s 35%. Check out the Pew poll.

The divide over neighborhoods doesn’t end there. Many more liberals than conservatives want communities where the houses are smaller and closer to each other, and things like schools and stores are in walking distance. Conservatives, not so much. They prefer places where the homes are bigger and farther apart and those stores are “several miles away.”

The survey is stark by several measures, finding that Democrats and Republicans are ideologically further apart than at any point in recent history, and growing numbers of both parties have highly negative views of the other party.

It was the largest political survey in the organization’s history and polled more than 10,000 adults between January and March.

The number is lower for liberals because they just naturally assume everyone agrees with them; and if they don’t, they should. They announce their views loudly in public, in restaurants, in the line at the post office, wherever. Conservatives tend to bite their tongues, knowing that the gay waitstaff or gubmit dependent P.O. employees, in the examples above, will side with the liberals and try to throw them out or have the police do it. So, as usual, this is a bunk survey.

Conservatives want big houses and yards to offer them some protection from liberal looters. I wouldn't mind living in a big city if it was is Asia such as Singapore, Kobe or the outskirts of Tokyo (I actually lived in these places for 14 years of my life). But no thanks to a large U.S. City.

I don't want looters as neighbors. And all Liberals are looters to one degree or another. Yes, all of them. The type with a high paying government job is actually more dangerous than your typical thieving druggie.

That's the ideal situation if you can do it.

Not everybody can. If you happen to be in the later category, the next best thing is to make friends with your neighbors who are ants and shun those which are grasshoppers.

The political signs they put out during election time is a major clue in said identification. One advantage our side has is that we have more guns and know how to use them.

I agree that it is not only the next best thing but the only other thing you can do if you get stuck in the burbs. We are aligned with our next door neighbor and the neighbor next to him. So it will be the three of us trying to defend three places agains’t God knows what. We finally came to the conclusion that we would be overrun in days. So we are bugging out.

Bottom line if you do not have the resources to move you are just going to be living in misery when the SHTF.
