I mean it's no iPad, but it's not like you're typing out essays. I still hardly ever use the stylus. The only think you really need it for is handwritten Miiverse posts.

I had a room full of friends ooh-ing and ahh-ing over Mario Kart last night. I started by putting it on single player Grand Prix just to show off how pretty it was, with people taking turns on the different tracks. We had an unexpected amount of fun just messing with the instant replays after each race. That 60 fps slow-mo...  With that said, most people agreed that the old-style arenas have to come back, after messing with the new battle mode for a bit. In a 4-player, no-COM game it just takes too long to find people. I've never wanted to pay for some hypothetical DLC so bad. Nintendo HAS to be aware of the demand here... right?

I just bought the Wii U like two days ago after getting some help from the other thread. Now I see the coupons in this thread for like $30 off the system and games, etc. I also just bought a complete Klipsch 5.1 surround system and a new TV for like 3 grand just 3 days before getting a coupon from USPS for 10% off of an entire Best Buy purchase . I'm having the worst luck in the world with coupon timing. Good news is that Mario Kart has been blowing me away with how great it looks and sounds on the new system. Online is fun as hell and I love the way the game handles replays and spectating.

You could try leaving the room with the game pad which disconnects it from the system, power it off, then use a wiimote for navigation?

Can't you disable the gamepad via the home menu, which throws it into idle? If so, are you able to flip to the Wii remote at that point?

Yes you can, you can even disable the gamepad screen with the wiimote and it's home button, or leave the gamepad on the stand facing away from you.

I sort of remember hearing that this was a negatory but is there any way to turn off the gamepad while watching Amazon Instant? Turning it off from the home menu doesn't work since it'll just leave the menu up there. Edit: Should've read the thread. I assume it's the same as the YT issue then? I'm not mad at it, I just think it's dumb that the primary control device will double the content on your tv with no way to disable it without switching to a different controller. And it is dumb.

Create a new user, hook up your NNID, and then when it asks you to make a Mii you pick "choose existing Mii" and your 3DS Mii will be there. A little unintuitive and confusing, in my opinion.

If you can scrounge up 600 coins worth of codes, just register all of it now to earn platinum status and get one of this year's rewards. Otherwise, just hold off til July and start building up your coins for next year.

I was saving my coins because the game sales rotated on the 8th. I loved Super Metroid but was curious what other options there would be. The next round of them aren't that good. I wish it was a newer Mario Party.
