Same here, 140bpm wise. Not a fan of his usual weird riddim stuff but this track is just ridiculous.

Yeah. Bukez really hasn't impressed me until this one. I had this on repeat on the way to work this morning. It's an absolute slammer.

I've just been looking for grime on bandcamp and it's getting me real annoyed at how they've been working their tag system, but that's a by the by as I came to post this:

It's a Brizzle based label with quite a few pay what you like releases there - it's more the aggressive side of dubstep so it you like that then definitely check it out.

Deep Sessions, also have Leon Switch from Kryptic Minds and Kaiju on the bill. I rarely make it out on weeknights though. Wanted to see Asylum earlier this month, but couldn't make it out that night.

I'm playing U Hall the 7th (opening for J.Phlip and Kill Frenzy) and their Union BBQ festival (Martyn, Jamie XX, a few other names) on the 14th.

I went to the Asylum show. Dude gets really into his mixing. He was up there jumping around and what not, really got me into it more seeing how into he was. That's pretty rad you get to spin at U Street, I really love their sound system. Also I like your stage name, what ya gonna play?

Those two shows mainly house, but I'm all over the place. If you come out early, say hello!

I threw a drum'n'bass party last week at Backbar, I used to play a bit of dubstep, mainly deeper or techy stuff, like Headhunter, F, DJG, and I'm part of Blisspop, so most of those shows I end up playing some form of house. I mainly just play U Hall every couple of months, they've had me open up (or open & close) for acts like Machinedrum (played footwork and dnb that fit with that), to Eats Everything (played house).

Sounds really rad. I would like to make it out but I've got to go to a graduation party that night for a cousin of mine. If ya go to the next deep sessions for whatever reason. Gimmie a holler.

Any of the oldschool Hype Radio crew lurking in here?

Kinda miss names like Solution, Detox, Brite, Stripey Jumper man (Jonny J) and Woody, Karl Tuff Enuff Brown, Leon and and Marvin Swiftfingers. :(

I tried the "new and improved" Hype Radio last year, but meh. It's just not the same as it was back in 09. Now I hear it's pretty much gone.

https://soundcloud.com/woodydj/best-of-solution-mix-2014 Woody mixing Solution stuff.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNsCQFJkY5w Definitive Hype, Detox "Pipe Dreams" (couldn't find the full track, unfortunately)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=034A4pzst5U Solution is the king of 4x4, just sayin :circlefap:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQD6YLzVutE Karl Tuff Enuff Brown , Marvin Swiftfingers G and MC Jubilee

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSgm_QlL8Nw Oh god, this mix. Matt Jam and Karl Tuff Enuff Brown. Nuff said.

I have fond memories of Hype. At the time, Karl had dropped the booze and become a Jehova's witness, made for some interesting phone conversations with him. I was working for a pretty controversial game developer at the time, and Karl was always trying to steer me away from working on violent games. It didn't matter how many times I tried to explain the concept of violence in video games, he'd still come back to the old "but it's violent, and it makes people violent" position.

Oh, and it looks as if Woody, Jonny J and Solution have regular spots over at IMIN Radio. http://www.iminradio.com/SCHEDULE.html

Well Lion Charge has officially become my favorite label. I was able to buy their cassette mixtape thing they put out last month, even though only 70 were made I hit buy fast enough. God drat does this have some serious reggae and dub tunes from idk when and than a lot of newer ragga dubstep tunes that are killer. Dunno if these are new tunes to be release but god drat are they good. Probably gonna record it and put it on youtube/what. They really should sell this for like $3 as one mix or let people buy this on CD.

Never been to Belgium
It's been a bit of a month for LPs so far. Martyn's new LP on Ninja Tune is solid, definitely a great progression on his last one. Though the only thing I think it lacks is the single total killer tune that Ghost People had (but then I would say that, as Bauplan to me was just pure epic). Though on saying that Drones is fast becoming my go to track on the LP, bumpin' and jazzy, proper Broken beat-esque action.

The spirit of Broken Beat - maybe more so the more Detroity end - also lives on in the new Lone LP on R&S. Gone is a lot of the day-glo hardcore touches that Galaxy Garden had, but it's great to see where he's ended up with this LP, really playing back on the Broken and Hip-Hop side of things. Really nice compared to just rehashing what was a really successful album.

Plenty of good singles released this month too. Sully's Blue double pack on Keysound is proper 21st century Jungle action, one for those who know what the script is.

On Infinite Machine is Liar's new EP called Cybertime, though the 12" really should've have a full blown picture sleeve as I'm digging the Neuromancer like artwork. Kinda like Fatima Al-Qadiri but filtered but a more techy Hardcore Rave thing, really nice.

Youngsta, LX-One, Biome, Killawatt, some J:Kenzo, etc etc. This is basically what Youngsta's Rinse show is (well, used to be, I don't really listen anymore). VIVEK also has a very good show on Rinse every 4th Thursday, but it's usually UK reggae/dub from the 80s up til now.
