Finally getting around to playing this. Seems a bit overwhelming at first (PS4) I'm in the clan but haven't really done MP yet with goons. How exactly does it work? I mean I got a ton of "missions" to do. Can I not play with you guys until I get to where you're at? I assume anyone who has done the missions I need can do them with me? Anyone in the squad can vote for anything they can access, and everyone else will be dragged along. On PC there's an option to vote for something someone else has voted for, even if you don't have it. I assume it's there on PS4 too but I don't have a PS4. Just start bugging goons and they'll take you to all the best places.

A few of us are playing consistently at night, and goodness knows I could use someone to run some mid-level missions with! Message the clan if others are online to see if anyone has a PSN party set up, and we'll get you in.

Add me (please put "goon" or something else in the friend request so I know you're not a pubby), and if you see me playing just hop in, I'll almost always be in a chat party with other goons. As I said yesterday, I don't play much anymore, but am definitely willing to drag you along some of the higher missions to farm credits, parts, whatever. Also, are you rank 2 yet? I've almost certainly got some mods that would be beneficial to you, and I'll trade them to you for super rare things like tail winds and ammo drums.

But Destiny alpha then Steam Summer sale + a TF2 patch has totally kept my PS4 mostly asleep for a couple weeks. I should level Amprex and finally hit rank 15 though.

Join the clan so we know you're playing the game. Join or start parties through the clan tab>show profile button (or just send friend requests). Just sending blind invites to games does not work. I think that interview better explains how U14 will be a better new player experience than what anything before has stated. They give specific examples of what players actually do now and how they're going to (try to anyway) solve it with the new UI / UX. I didn't catch before that they're going to support loadouts which means sets of those profiles. I suspect the specter functionality was a beta test for loadouts (kind of obvious that you just freeze what you have as a specter loadout to try to imprint into a specter, gee).

Three useful WF links for newbies: The wiki, obviously, but if you aren't using it, do so. Specifically, these two pages: http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Damage_2.0 Once you get elemental mods, use this page to figure out how to optimize your gear and use element combos. http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Mastery_Rank You can only take a Mastery test once per 24 hours, so don't be like me and fail a test because you didn't check what it was first. You need mastery rank for trades (one trade per rank per day), so getting several ranks helps goons help you. Also be sure to hit up the pages on your specific Warframe and read the various details on your abilities. Some of the stuff is wikia quality drek, but there are good mechanical details to be found, and the info on maximizing the powers is convenient - it'll be more interesting to you once you're past the very early game and want to start tinkering with your frames for maximum broken comboing. Deathsnacks http://deathsnacks.com/wf/index.html Track alerts, invasions, and Dark Sector conflict payments. For the last one, they will occasionally spike up to 50k+ per run, which is a great way to make a bunch of credits quickly. They're easy mobile defense missions that have player 'specters' in them, basically just AI controlled warframes. Warframe Trading http://wftrading.net/ General price guide for mods and parts and poo poo for trade chat. By and large, you should simply ask for anything you need in clan chat, but occasionally if you're either looking for something rare that no one has extras of or if you're looking to make some spare plat by selling your excess junk, hit up that page to get a rough idea of what something might be worth. I generally go by the lowest price and ignore the medium/highs. Also, as far as trading in general goes, if you are going to spend plat via trade chat (which, if you want to buy prime items, you should, because its hilariously cheaper than the actual market), it's a buyer's market. If you have plat, do not go for any high offer, there's a metric loving asston of people with mountains of mods and prime parts out there who want your sweet digital currency. Set some stupid lowball price and stick to it. Ask in trade chat occasionally between missions, sort through the tells, if you get no nibbles whatsoever, raise your price very slightly and try again. Goons will totally hook you up with anything they have within reason, so you should only go buy stuff in trade if it's an annoyingly rare/hard to farm item that you really want. If you're selling, you need to do something to stand out from the masses of other people selling, state your (low) prices upfront. Don't try to squeeze a few extra plat out, you'll just waste your time, you can always farm more whatevers and sell them. Brand new mods/parts are the best sellers (e.g., Loki parts/Claw stance right now), so if you're not going to bequeath your goods on another goon (you greedy bastard), those are decent ways to make plat without spending  I personally don't think selling piles of 5p mods is worth the time, but if you really don't want to spend money on the game, you can absolutely fund your weapon/frame slots and potatoes by doing so (eventually). Finally trading is actually pretty nice, it's just hard to find people in the crowded chat. Spam a message occasionally between missions just like selling and you can get lucky and find a like minded player who just wants to

So I have been trying to install and play this game, but I keep getting an error on loading the launcher. I've checked google and the only steps anyone seems to have are to turn off checking for security validation which isn't something I am willing to do. The error specifically is ERROR_INTERNET_SEC_CERT_DATE_INVALID Any suggestions?

Finally got a Valk over the weekend and dear god what a blast. Rip lining around is fun enough, but then I played some Mobile Defense using Hysteria and the constant enemies kept enough energy balls on the field that I could keep it active nearly continuously. And the screams give her this feeling like she's the lost fifth member of the Beauty and the Beast Corps from MGS IV.

When using it on nighttime outdoor maps I literrally can't see anything and just run around mashing the melee button. Oh, and I had something bizarre happen to me yesterday. Picked up an Argon Crystal (in a rank test of all things) about two hours before 7 CST when the day resets. I wasn't entirely sure how Argon decay worked (I think it's supposed to do nothing at the first day reset than half it rounded down on the subsequent ones), so I checked it after the reset and now had 8 of the drat things. Yeah it happens every now and then. It doesn't seem to have much rhyme or reason but sometimes your argon will just multiply.

The Rubedo-plated Galatine skin has gone from 0.65 to 0.84 since the sale ended, about 500 total for sale right now  Probably should grab the others too if you want them, the Drakgoon skin is running out of listings. The two common ones are so flooded in the market you should be fine waiting.

Boltor Prime and Soma are great if you just want damage from your primary. Boltor prime does over double base damage of the standard, but the Soma can really dump out damage if you mod it right. Also, it can be used for sniping of sorts since the first round if you dont let it fully spin up is highly accurate. Alternatives if you dont want a normal rifle-y thing. You'll get a kick out of the stupid damage from a penta, though you will likely kill yourself several times. Soma requires Mastery6. Try the Karak, it's a better Braton(not the mk1) and stays pretty decent for quite a while. It's faster to list guns you should avoid: Latron, Burston, MK1, Grinlok, Supra(though filling a hall with lasers is super fun), Miter. All of the sniper rifles are garbage, don't bother with them. Everything else is usable.

The Supra is stupid-fun and one of the best ways to turn your space-ninja jumpanshootman into disco incarnate. I will give you that it blows that it's locked behind several gates of Dojo research, though, even if the Goon clan already finished research for it last year. If you want to go with the snipe game, your best bet is the bows. According to the Wiki, the Paris is usable right away for a new player; just get the materials together and enjoy some bow action. If you manage to get the blueprint for Dread, Infested are trivialized by it. The last thing I can add on sniping, aside from the sniper rifles not being good, is that few maps and tilesets actually make good sniping maps. Snipe play can be fun on some Defense maps, though, especially the Corpus outpost with the two long bridges. That one's still my favorite.

If you want something accurate and selective that isn't a full on bow or sniper rifle, ask for the parts for Latron Prime in clan chat. It's super common and, while it's not one of the god rifle best-in-slot items, it's versatile and functional and better than the market rifles that aren't locked until you raise your mastery rank.

Just got a PS4 and have been pleasantly surprised by this game- sure as hell feels a lot more polished than NBA 2K14 which I expected to be the one taking up all my time. PSN is perimetr and would love an invite to the clan! Edit: maybe I am bad at reading but I don't see the clan name in the first two posts, is it LLJK? Not to mention that thanks to how Digital Extremes handles ammo for each weapon type, you will never run out of ammo for the Latron Prime. It's a great gun.
