As it's been a while, here's the latest batch of nuttery from my Facebook. Unfortunately now I've got a couple cousins posting these now as well. I'm steadily amused by each of these I see with no distinction between the weed that gets you high and the industrial use hemp. News to me as well as my Biology professor who specialized in Genetics that cross pollination for specific genetic traits is completely not a form of GMO. Kills the herpes virus? You'd think this would be world wide news. I guess the people who've gotten seriously ill from raw milk with Mycobacterium bovis, Salmonella, and Listeria were just faking?

I was responding to the "don't they know about touch-typing" angle. I'm a computer geek from way back, and I might have flubbed that little test not too long ago. As it is, I typed "applw" when I tested myself before replying. I am still new to touch-typing

Well, lower fat stuff has some fat taken out, but otherwise do they really do all that much to milk? I thought it was mostly just "pasteurize -> refrigerate -> grocery store -> drink." edit: Wait now that I think about it, how do they feel about cheese? That's processed milk. Yeah, now that you mention it, I don't even think it's illegal, just that the FDA and CDC tell people to not drink it/boil it because it's pretty dangerous. Googleing it I can see that in Nazi Illinois, you can totally buy it even in Chicago. According to wiki, you can buy it in 29/50 states as of 2009.

You say this now, but who knows what'll happen when we tamper with forces that aren't to be tampered with? A new experimental gender identity claws at and finally breaks out of its cage, going on a killing rampage that leaves over thirty thousand dead. Coming to cinemas this summer... in Gender Park.

NachtSieger posted:IIRC the original nan0girl thing was done entirely as a joke and to mock people who go wild with labels. Then someone or multiple someones from that group took it completely seriously, which is actually kind of funny in a dumb way . No apparently it was made by Truscum, who I was "learning" about the other day. They are people who believe that you need to be uncomfortable with your birth gender to be transsexual - so basically, the general definition. "I don't feel like a boy I feel like a girl", etc. That is a scummy thing, in the eyes of Tumblr - because you can be trans even if you're happy with your birth gender. So yeah you walk around looking for all the world like a woman, in a dress and makeup, then yell at people when they don't call you "he", because you're a man on the inside. I'm...I'm just not even getting it anymore. I don't really give a poo poo about what gender people think they are but it seems like these people just build their entire life around making things more complicated than they need to be.

Current eye-roller for me is a female friend posting a link to an article about how to eat pussy. I commented "Or you could have an adult conversation with your partner to find out how she likes it?" She invokes my wife, saying my wife would thank me for reading the article, despite us actually having that conversation many, many times (we've been married 7 years, it comes up occasionally). I pointed this out, which results in me getting poo poo on for being an egotistical male and thinking I'm great at sex.

In the book "Natural Cures THEY Don't Want You To Know!", the author claims that homogenizing milk is bad because it breaks up the milk molecules, and the too small milk molecules will make scratches on the walls of your arteries which makes it real easy for cholesterol to stick to them. Milk molecules. Giving that book back to the person who lent it to me with a straight face was a hell of an accomplishment. I actually friended her on facebook a while ago but she hasn't posted anything too stupid, amazingly. I do worry about her baby sometimes.

Well the author is probably right since when you drink something, it goes down a special tube which leads directly to your arteries before making it to your stomach to be digested. This is why nobody should drink bubble tea. It causes clogs in your arteries. mmm. bubble tea...

My Facebook is usually a smug liberal echo chamber but some dipshit just posted this unironically, from the page "AMERICAN - STRONG!" with the caption quote:To lead the greatest, most elite military force in the world, one must have served in it first..........( Oh, and you must provide legal documentation you were BORN HERE!) You might think this some grumpy old relative, but no, it's a 23-year-old who just graduated from my small liberal arts college. I give absolutely zero shits about this person so I responded: quote:Economic policy, stance on social issues, diplomatic skills, general ability to oversee the myriad issues of a world power with a population of 300 million: less important than military service and the location in which you popped out of your mom.
