Some of the first batch of shots from my trip to London and Paris last month. I'll try to provide a little context for anyone who hasn't been or seen this kind of thing a million times. Unfortunately I didn't get many great shots that weren't just essentially documenting architecture/masonry (hopefully in a mildly interesting way) but I've put some better ones in the PAD thread. Ollie and Benny by maritimexpat, on Flickr This is in front of Westminster Palace, taken through the gate where I feel I got pretty lucky with the angle.  Under the Dome by maritimexpat, on Flickr This was taken inside the British Museum.  Remember Victoria by maritimexpat, on Flickr This is the Victoria Memorial, which is part of the square directly in front of Buckingham Palace.  Lock Bridge by maritimexpat, on Flickr This is a "love lock bridge" just south of Notre Dame de Paris.  Obalisque by maritimexpat, on Flickr This is the Luxor Obelisk currently found in the Place de la Concorde and marks the center of two major Parisian sight lines, notably the one with the two Arcs de Triomphe. It also stands in the square where many were guillotined in the French Revolution.
