It's unusual to read dialogue that's actually funny in a Square Enix game, especially after coming off the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts games where they have to deal with voice acting. Characters from TWEWY show up in Kingdom Hearts 3D, but they all talk with huge pauses between each line, probably because the cutscenes are timed to the Japanese dialogue. Nier's translation and voice acting is far better than most of SE's other games, so it can be done well. However, there's nothing wrong with just having text, especially if you're able to scroll through it as fast as you can read it.

Ok, my WiiU arrived today. With it comes Mario Kart, so now I need to know which game I should download. I'm leaning towards Pikmin or W101, which is more recommended, or which other game should I be looking at? Monster Hunter is another possibility, but I hear it's all grindy and it takes the fun away a bit. Also general WiiU game suggestions would be welcomed, I have ZombiU, Nintendo Land, Just Dance (bundled), MK8 and Wii Party U. Wind Waker is a classic so if you didn't get to play it on Gamecube now would be a great time to try it. Other than that I would recommend W101.

Their biggest problem is that they have literally no idea how to trim the fat from their mechanics and present them in a straightforward way. Instead it's like 5 hours of needlessly convoluted mechanics explained incredibly poorly, and even for people who would otherwise enjoy the games that can be a huge turnoff. I finished Knights but when I tried to explain it to a friend who was having trouble everything I said came out sound like "floop the pig."

If grinding is an issue for you, don't get monster hunter. The game gets a whole lot less fun when you have to kill the same monster in the same place a dozen times in a row to make some piece of gear you want. It can be pretty slow going.
