I asked this question a month or so ago but nobody answered, so I'll ask again now that we're closer to the event. Is the EVO premium subscription worth it? Was the HD stream actually nice and did it run well the whole time?

Note that according to the ST Revival schedule the Evo Main Stage ST event on Saturday is going to be Top 8 of X-Mania US (single elim team tournament) and not TOL Finals. Doesn't look like TOL will be on the main stage at all, Top 32 (winners of the pools running that day plus previous qualifiers and japanese invites) will start at 4 PM Friday and will be streamed on Arkadeum. Playoffs are happening at the same time as EVO, I hope that doesn't cause problems.

Has Soulcalibur ever been taken seriously in a competitive format? I haven't seen much of it, but I always thought the character creation thing was a cool idea. Though probably impractical to import into a tournament.

II was at Evo 2003-04 and SBO 2003, III was at SBO 2007, IV was at Evo 2009, and V was at Evo 2012 and SBO 2012. 2003 and 2009 were won by French players, as they've always had a strong Soul Calibur scene.

What is the state of Marvel nowadays? I personally feel like that game has dropped from everyone's radar, but I really don't know. If the hype has really run out of gas for it, would it be crazy for Capcom to drop another iteration? Has Capcom kept up support anywhere on the same level that it has for Street Fighter?

So.... I've been chatting with some friends about Street Fighter a great deal and one of them mentioned that it would be hilarious to hear me do match commentary. Personally I'm a big fan of James Chen and Ultradavid's rapport, but I don't mind the more explicitly hype-minded commentators either. I don't have encyclopedic move-list or frame data knowledge but I kind of want to give it a try - any advice?

Go find some NLBC or WNF tournaments on twitch or youtube, mute the sound, and practice your own commentary over it. See what happens. Try to find a balance between professionalism, hype, and being entertaining. Also prepare for tons of critics because you can't ever make everyone happy.
